The flash drive won't connect to my computer or any other computer I try to. It doesn't show up in Files Device Manager or Disk Management. I attempted to connect it to another computer, but no matter how many I try, it's like it doesn't even exist. All these problems became apparent within the hour I purchased it.

Excellent! Only issue I had was I did not know this was formatted in X-FAT32. I bought this thumb drive to put the movies I have on my PC on it so that I could watch them in my living room on my smart tv... after spending a couple hours transferring files to the drive, I plug it into my smart tv and get an error telling me that the drive was not supported. I tried it on my Sony Blu-ray that has a usb slot for external media and it doesn’t recognize the drive either. I tell my husband about it and he says I need to format the thumb drive with a regular FAT32 file system. Well, I did as I was instructed, reloaded the movies after formatting with FAT32 and bingo! Both my smart tv and my Blu-ray can now read the files on the drive! So, if anyone has problems with your ... MoreExcellent! Only issue I had was I did not know this was formatted in X-FAT32. You should be good to go! SANDISK, YOU REALLY SHOULD LABLE THE PACKAGING WITH THE TYPE OF FORMATING ON THE DRIVE! That would save people a lot of wasted time knowing this in advance!

I bought one of these for my birthday well over a year ago and I have been using it with out any issue ever since. First thing I did was format the drive to remove the Sandisk software. Recently purchased a second. Formatted that one too. I like them both. Two minor issues: 1) I never carry mine in my pocket because the USB connector is capless. The one time I tried it the connector got pocket lint in it, not good. 2) Don't leave it sitting unconnected on a picnic table in a breeze as it will get blown off the table. Being made of smooth, hard, and lightweight plastic has it's down side after all. Other than that they both work great for me. Fairly easy to insert or remove. The connector stays exposed when you want it to. These are priced low enough that you can fill them with pictures and so forth and give them as gifts. I'll probably buy another in the future.

Great that it came free with my WD purchase, and it's got a nice storage capacity--but it is surprisingly slow. I think it's mostly the encryption which slows it down, and I don't need small-to-medium file encryption. Maybe it's just not built for what I need, maybe someone else is willing to trade speed for encryption on small to medium files. But I'm thinking I may just reformat it.
I've used Sandisk thumb drives for 2 decades for personal and professional use with confidence. I needed to backup the laptop restoration image on one drive and download Windows 10 upgrade on another. I was able to transfer the restore image file and test deploy successfully. Then install Windows 10 on the laptop using the twin 64GB USB drives on an older laptop with USB 2.0 without any errors. I'm happy with the results.
SanDisk is a good brand. The USB sticks are as expected for USB 2.0 technology. I would newer flash drives, recommended USB 3.0 for newer computers and larger files/data transfer. Overall good product for what it is.
Great deal, sandisk is a pretty reliable brand. I use them for storing music %26 class work. Empties up storage space on the computer. Highly recommend. The playback %26 video quality are excellent.
I feel like I have been purchasing these SanDisk Cruzer Glide drives for years and years and years; at some point, I'm sure it will be time for something fancier, but for now these still work great. Sure, you can get bigger drives than this 16GB version, but for my needs 16GB is more than enough (it still even seems like enough size for things like installing Windows). Sure, you can get a USB 3.0 drive that might offer faster transfer speeds, but I've never felt slowed down using this USB 2.0 drive. And I particularly like the size: small enough that it feels compact, but large enough that it doesn't feel too fragile or easy to misplace. Most importantly, it seems like you can still get these at a great value.
I originally purchased (3). I formatted the first one of them successfully but as soon as I attempted to load files it was 'Blank'. PC recognized drive but I could not load files or reformat when attempted. Returned it with no problem but when I got home and tried using it, the same problem along with another of the original (3) I had purchased.I know what I am doing with flash drives. Still have a couple that are (12) yr's. old I use frequently with no problems. Do not know if I got part of a bad manufacturing batch or what.At this point I am half afraid to try and return the (2) bad ones even though I have receipts because I have never had this happen with flash drives of any brand. I know that 'Western Digital' purchased 'SanDisk' and do not feel I need to ... MoreI originally purchased (3). I like the price of the items. Very competitive. The case feels off, flexible plastic. Hope it will last for a while. Didn't work with my van audio, the whole reason for the purchase but will keep. Handy to have some on hand.
