Good replacement for HDD. I am glad that they sold this for lower price.But in this generation where transferring extensive data is a common practice, if your computer supports M.2 NVME I suggest buying it than an SSD with below 500mbps transfer rate.

I installed this SanDisk 2TB SSD in my older computer. My computer was acting slow and it felt like it took so much time to get anything done. This SanDisk was easy to install and really gave new life to my system. The performance of my computer is night and day difference with this new drive. Everything is so much faster now including boot up and loading times. This one is 2TB and has plenty of space for everything I need. I'm very happy with this product!

I have a half-dozen old HP Omnibook 6100's running dedicated tasks, such as network servers, online radio stations and station monitors, and even a chime machine and UPS for a 1931 Crosley Playtime grandfather clock radio. These are perfect (with the $5 IDE to SATA adapters online) for converting them to very cheap SSD. Best of all, I can stick with XP and run rings around the newer systems while still having actual stereo audio line in and outs, DVD R/W and even a floppy onboard. I got the idea from my two main machines, which now have the 512gb Crucial drives internal. My average (entire) machine cost is less than $50. My computer was a good one but getting slower and older. I decided to upgrade to this SanDisk 2TB SSD hard drive. Great improvement. Computer is quiet and way faster (boot up time is next to nothing now). I cloned my old hard drive to it and could not be happier with the decision. Would highly recommend.
I've purchased 12 SSD+ drives over the last 5 years. Obviously I find them satisfactory.All my HDDs have been cloned to SSDs for regular use and these in turn are clonedas needed to spare SSDs for backup. ( I stagger 2 backup drives per OS ... 2 flavorsof Windows & whatever Linux distro I'm currently playing with.) I've also put 2 SSDs inexternal USB enclosures, one for System Images & the other for Data-Only archives.

So I searched for a SSD and found this one, with free shipping and, to me, a great price. It arrived ahead of time which was nice. fter a few moments of looking it over, I installed it. I removed the SATA drive adapter from eth rotating drive interface and put it on the SATA SSD drive. Then installed it into the laptop. I booted the system and it recognized the drive without issues. I then installed WIN 7.1 Pro and subsequently upgraded to Win 10 Pro (free, of course!). I can now get to a useable screen with this old dog in about 40 seconds and this with only 2 GB of RAM and an AMD SEMPRON cpu. Like I ...
