Sandisk lists the specs as 200 MB/s Read and 150MB/s Write. And I am happy to report I got 207 MB/s Sequential Read and 160 MB/s Sequential Write in CrystalDiskMark. So this is by far the fastest Write flash drive I have had. This was tested using my USB 3.1 port on my Asus MAXIMUS VIII HERO motherboard. The USB connector retracts very smoothly. I've had other flash drives which can be difficult to open/close. This one is very easy to open and close.

The best USB drive i ever bought. Im even thinking of getting another soon. Very happy with my purchase and the customer service I received at the store. micro center is my favorite electronic store to go to and I always recommend all my family and friends to go and buy from there. Never had a bad experience at the store. Always left as a happy customer every time i made a purchase there.

I purchased this flash drive so that I could copy large files faster, like most who probably spring for the extra money for a commodity like this. Upon using I noticed virtually no difference with other flash drives I have, quite a surprise! I do not know where the bottleneck may be on my system but it is a new, current motherboard with multiple USB 3.0 ports so determining where the problem lines may be tough to do (assuming it is not the drive). So needless to say, I returned the device (after also receiving a couple of write errors during the transfer.

150 MB/sec? All it did for me, backing up 10.5 GB of small folders/files, was 1 MB/sec. And the warranty - they wouldn't send replacements unless I mailed them the bad drives first, which means I would lose my all-important backups.
So out of six cards I've gotten for various Raspberry.Pi projects I only had one DOA card (opened it, put it into a system and only got a single megabyte available, tried all three OS flavors MacOS, Linux, Windoze, to reformat with no change in size or state)Really Fast, and for the five that worked out of the box I've had absolutely NO issue while running them 24/7 since formatting and setting up on my Raspberry.Pi'I definitely plan on buying more as my projects dictate the need!
I purchased this flash drive not having 100% confidence that it would live up to its spec, but I was pleasantly surprised. Although the body on the drive is flimsy in my opinion, the performance is excellent. I have tested a few flash drives using CrystalDiskMark and this showed the write performance of the SanDisk Extreme Go outperformed its younger brothers (SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive) write speed by more than 4x. The Ultra Dual writing at 35mbs and the Extreme Go writing at 144mbs. This was with the drives plugged directly into a USB 3.0 socket on the computer. If you plug it in through a hub, this will likely be considerably lower. I have mostly cheap ebay flash drives and the best write speed I got from them was 20mbs (which wasn't far off SanDisk Ultra Dual drive), and although the cheaper drives have their place and do the job, I would definitely pay that little extra for the performance you get from this device, without question. If I could give half a star, I would have given 4.5 out 5.0, purely because of the flimsy casing, although the USB connector mechanism is very robust. This is obviously my opinion, but flimsy plastic aside, I personally would still recommend the SanDisk Extreme Go, merely for its performance.
Originally I had bought the lower-end model SanDisk "Ultra" 64GB (USB 3.0) which is okay but was left unimpressed. Decided to upgrade to this SanDisk "Extreme Go" (USB 3.1) and glad I paid the extra for it. This dongle is beautifully designed, and the transfer speed is a breeze. Even on my laptop which is only capable of USB 3.0, to my surprise the writing speed into the dongle was two times faster than with the "Ultra" model. Highly recommend.
Pluses: Powerful features on the box. Minuses: Inconsistency of theory and practice. Description: I bought SanDisk Extreme Go USB 3.1 (128 GB). The fact that the volume is always less is understandable, and the fact that it is warming is habitual. But real speed is a shock: - writing: about 30MB/s (+/-2MB) for real files from 2.0 to 5.7 Gb - reading: about 130MB/s, but somewhere after 4GB, the speed drops to about 80MB/s If it does not suit you, do not buy it. And do not look synthetic tests and other reviews!
Mechanical design OK. Fast read speed. But Sandisk forgot to tell that the write speed - up to 150MB/s - only can be achieved on platforms supporting UASP.It's an expensive flash drive, when providing USB2.0 write speeds only.Go for Lexar P30's instead.
Use it for the TimeShift function on Smart HDTV. Works really well. The occasional jittery movement I experienced with a Corsair USB3.0 memory stick has disappeared. Maybe thats due to some minor incompatibility between the TV and the Corsair stick or perhaps its a speed issue as the ScanDisk specification states faster read write speeds. Too early to judge reliability.
