Looks great, feels great, and he 2 1/2" speaker delivers decent sound all the way around, truthfully sounding better than my C.Crane 2E's 5" speaker, really. After draining my car battery a few times listening to talkshows during my lunch breaks (turning on my car radio also activates a dash cam and gps unit) , I bought this inexpensive unit to keep in my glovebox. I am amazed at the sound volume and quality of this little radio, and at the reception quality of the AM band. The tuning is a little tricky, so I deducted one star for that, but the tuning indicator light helps a lot. I also have a $70 Sangean digital pocket radio and this analog unit actually sounds better and has equal reception. For twenty bucks it can't be beat!

Good service, but the product is very disappointing, very poor quality and hardly tunes in to any radio stations, straight to the bin! Sangeran radios are normally very high quality but not this one, do not buy it!

I purchased a Sangean SR 35 to listen to a low powered broadcast quality FM transmitter. Sangean is the only radio manufacturer that actually makes their own radios. I only use this radio on the FM band and it's sensitivity is the best I have seen in a small portable radio. The headphone out is only mono, that does not concern me as at least 90% of the broadcasts I listen to are in mono, (usually ABC local radio via VAST). The tuning indicator LED makes it easy to tell if you are spot on the station. The sound quality out of the speaker is not great although very good for the size of the radio. Battery life is good with 2 rechargeable Ni-MH Batteries (not supplied). The radio is small enough to fit in a shirt pocket with headphones attached. For the price its very cheap but the reception is amazing and seems to pull in stations from hundreds of kilometres away on AM at night even further , FM is very good too ! Bringing stations from 150 km away strong and clear , the only thing , is these radio like most new ones these have DSP tuning which makes them touchy to tune but once you get used to it , it becomes very easy to tune also green lights up when you have it tuned & the speaker sound is excellent for this size radio so I bought two

I had a smaller Sony pocket radio which was much more expensive 5 years ago and did not have speakers like this little beauty but only earplug jack. This has both and therefore can be played without having to cart it around but can be carted around in back pack or pocket with earplugs, either way it gives a great sound for such a price. It can free stand easily on a smooth surface, hang from handle or similar hook or carried in hand or pocket, all very easily. Excellent product. Appreance, sound quality and reception are great. Two AA batteries are convenient and last a long time. The best thing about this radio is that locating your favourite AM station is much more precise than on other radios I have owned.
Bought this radio as a backup radio for my 97-year-old mother. She loves to listen to her favourite radio shows and sports. However, sometimes she drops her radio. In the event she breaks it, I've got a backup on hand. Easy for her to use and listen to.
Worth spending extra for the reception quality. Have used cheaper, portable radios for years, and struggled with the reception at sporting events (digital radio broadcasts have a several second delay, so they’re useless for live events). This radio’s reception is fantastic in comparison. Highly recommended. Note that it is a little larger than some pocket radios.
