I chose this cable because I was looking for USB 3.2 (or higher) capabilities, with two USB-C connectors, in this length, and with the right suppleness/durability combination for my everyday set-up. Previous Satechi products have not disappointed and this article's price had recently lowered. It does all that it promises. The only thing that I found unnecessary was the Apple-like 'premium' packaging that probably adds to its elevated pricing. Just more material to separate and put in the recycling.

Worked on my Thunderbolt 3 SSD and speeds were actually faster slightly than the original Thunderbolt cable. A great made product and great quality.

Great quality cable, as expected from Satechi. I'm not clear on the performance differences between USB4 and Thunderbolt4. It appears the specifications are the same with the USB4 cable costing about $10 less. I have a few Thunderbolt drives and I want to make sure I'm getting the best possible throughput. I'll do some testing to see whether the extra money for Thunderbolt is worth it.
I bought this with the full intentions of using a T7 speed SSD to external boot MacOS on an M1 Max. This cable does NOT disappoint! I’ll spare you all the technical numbers and speeds for read/write, and just know that if you’re looking for a reliable/stable/high speed USB-C Thunderbolt 4 style transfer cable, this is the ONE!

All are well made, so I thought of Satechi for these cables as I was updating my system. Cables are well made and the perfect length for my systems. I purchased 2 cables & I'm currently awaiting my Mac Studio computer. Just noticed other cables which seem to have about the same specs listed at $129.00 each. I will follow up once my new system is in place. I've had no issues using on my current Mac Mini M1.

The usual nice quality cable . Supports 100 w and 40 gbps works well my mbp 14.I wish they made is longer like they do with usb c and in different color
Works great! Used it to connect a Macbook Air M2 and a Metabox Prime-S Laptop to a Lenovo R45w-30 45" Ultrawide monitor @ 165hz with 5120 x 1440 resolution. Cord is sturdy, can be bent into a specific shape and hold it which was cool. Also charges the Macbook Air with the 100w Power Delivery while using. 0.8m is short, it just reaches my laptop sitting next to the monitor on my desk. Get the longer cord if unsure it will reach.Note: My work laptop, a MSI Thin GF63 wont charge and will only show a cropped 1080p image at 60hz on the ultrawide monitor with this cable as the laptop's USB-C doesn't support video out/power delivery (USB-C 3.2 required). So check your computer is capable of these things before relying on this to work out of the box.
