The Aluminum Stand & Hub brings it all together...it’s like “synergy and synchrony” at my fingertips. How does it all come together without the stand and hub? If Apple was on top of their game, they’d buy you. I was actually detailed this product by an outstanding Apple “rep” when I purchased my iPad Pro at the Woodbridge, VA Apple store. I can’t recall his name but his Sales Associate I.D. is 973569861. Satechi should show him some appreciation...I would not know about you had he not made you part of my solution! As soon as I saw the news that Satechi released the Aluminum Stand & Hub for the iPad Pro, I placed the order immediately before brushing my teeth in the morning. Shipping was fast and I received it through USPS yesterday (less than 48 hours after I placed my order). I tested all the ports last night and everything works like a charm! The aluminum case makes it feel like something worth more than $100! I was hoping it would also come with space gray color to match with my new 2021 iPad Pro. I did an entire unboxing and hands on video on my YouTube channel. You can search my channel under the name Nic Studio. This is my first product bought from Satechi and I absolutely love it!

I've always been a fan of SATECHI products as they ooze high quality and durability; and this time with the Aluminum Stand & Hub for iPad Pro, they hit it out of the park as well. Great portability and all the ports necessary to make my iPad Pro shine in its productivity and connectivity. Highly recommended.
I love the quality of the product. The aluminum finish feels really premium. I would have wished that the ports were located on the side rather than the back (easier access). Placement aside, my accessories are recognized by the stand and work perfectly. Honestly, this product makes an external monitor kind of useless for the Ipad (until we get extended screen share in ipad os 16.2).
There is only one position for resting your ipad on this accessory. They don't have a multi position setting. I have had serious issues with this doc when plugging it in with an HDMI chord and charger. It drastically changed the quality of output over zoom calls and overall function of my ipad. This is a usefull but sad solution. Seeing a cable is just s complete nogo. There are mag save options already in place to have solved this more elegant. There is a bambo option from IKEA for just 9,99 which is the same worse. Unfortunately... the developers just where short thinking about business but I doubt they have ever used sn iPad besides for testing this gadget.
1. It's compact and handy.2. The whole thing seems to make of plastic. Originally I thought it's make of metal so that it doesn't wobble.3. The cable is a bit difficult to remove from the slot.4. Need to remove the iPad cover before you can slot it into the groove.5. All ports are working well.
The concept is great, but I have 4 main issues;-the plug stores I’ll the bottom and the mechanics of it make it a tight fit. It’s hard to get it out.- the clips that store the cord are sharp and leave indents in the insulation.- the stand only works in landscape. You can put the iPad in portrait, but the power cord only works in landscape. It would be nice if there was a way of recessing the connector for portrait.- some of the edges are on the sharp side. I am afraid of tossing the stand in a bag with other things that might get scratched.
I’ve purchased this hub to essentially turn my iPad into a mobile DAW workstation and have had issues with data transfers from other brand hubs. This design is sleek, supports a good viewing angle, and a good workstation angle. I’ll be using it for other projects such as digital drawing when in landscape. No issues with data transfers!
