So here are the flaws:1. Logitech wireless keyboard / mouse (or any other wireless bundle I've tried) works amazingly bad with this dock. Mouse movements lack smoothness and jump all the time, keyboard presses are not recognised way too often. If I connect the dongle to another (cheap Chinese) dock - everything works as it should.2. When you are connecting / disconnecting power to / from the dock and have some USB flash drives connected in it - beware, flash drive will become corrupted and you'd need a PC to make it work again. This is just ridiculous.3. Scratches easily, not the same quality coating as the Macbook itself.Summary - garbage product for 90$. Get a Chinese one for 1/3 of the price.

I bought the ethernet v2 adapter for my brand-new MacBook Air after doing careful research on the web given the fact that there are hundreds of products on the market and ended up picking this one out among all because I had read about the functionality and connectors it has. In addition, the design perfectly matches my Mac. The only thing I should warn you is that the device heats up while using it. Other than that, it's the perfect match for connecting all your devices.

This is the best multi-port adaptor I have tried with my MacBook Pro. All the ports are there and they all work as described. Some people have said the ethernet port is lose so at times you lose the connection and I have found that at times with the best solution to turn the port on its side and the cable tends to stay in better. The only thing I’d say is that I am in the UK and had to pay a £25 VAT charge on top which was partially refunded when I highlighted this as there wasn’t any info. on the web-site to anticipate this. That said however this is the best of 5 adaptors I have tried and would have accepted that for the hub to work as well as it does. All in all an excellent product which removes the need for extra accessories!

I purchased this adapted over others available mainly for the additional network port which most others don’t have. The device works as advertised. The USB-C pass through charging works with Satechi’s Type-C 75W Travel Charger which I also purchased. The device gets slightly warm during use but nothing out of the ordinary. I had no issues connecting up to an external monitor via the HDMI port. The space grey colour matches my MacBook Pro perfectly.I ordered this device from Australia. Delivery was under a week and the courier service which they use (DHL) was able to deliver to my PO box which was an added bonus.I would be happy to recommended this device based on my initial impressions.
It works as advertise, which in itself is great.Packaging is simple but clear cut [ who keeps the package- Passthrough USB type C works- SD Card slots works- USB 3.0 worksthus far, the dongle end is holding up well [ just gotten it ] and it feels like its made to last.P.s as a feedback -not on the product-The use of UPS leaves much to be desired. Do recommend to have the option to include other International Courier services [ FedEx, DHL etc ]UPS has given the worse delivery service, which drags down the entire feel of the product experience.
This device has ports for every peripheral and interface that I need on my MacBook Air (M1, 2020), which has only 2 data ports. It's fast and trouble-free. I regularly use on this device the SD card slot (for my SDXC cards), the 3 USB Type-A slots (for my external backup disk drives and a radio-frequency USB interface to my Logitech G602 wireless mouse), and an Ethernet cable connector port (which provides much faster Internet access than my wifi hub). This device works great.
I am as happy as I can be with this product, it delivers on everything it promised: I love it when someone can perceive the need for a product and make it in high quality. I use it every day, both as a link in power-delivery and for the mouse/keyboard-combo on my Microsoft Surface Go. My only complaint is that the cable is slightly too short, so the device is suspended while plugged into my computer, creating an awkward angle for my cables. I hope these cables will not break. I would get the next generation, if that cable was longer. The present product is fantastic.
Looks great - I love how the Satechi products match the Apple colors. It's nice and compact. However, it did not work well with my setup. Once the HDMI cable was plugged into this, the mouse would jump around the screen, if it moved at all. I'm assuming there's some kind of interference between the HDMI & the mouse dongle that is also plugged into the V2 Multiport. My setup is 2018 MBP 2.9 GHz I9, 32 GB RAM, Radeon Pro Vega 20 4 GB; wireless Logitech M705 mouse; and an LG 4K Monitor (27UL500-W).
This is my second product from Satechi. Over a year and half ago I purchased the first generation Type-C Multi-Port Adapter to pair with my space grey MacBook Pro. It was the only USB-C adapter available that had all of the ports I needed while complimenting the design and quality of an Apple product. Unfortunately, the HDMI port stopped working after the warranty period had long since expired. I emailed Satechi hoping they might give me discount code to purchase a new one and instead they offered to replace it! I only had to cover the cost of shipping the defective unit to them and within a week I received the newer second generation version as a replacement! I recommend to stay away from this product.- It does NOT do 4K@60Hz, because HDMI 1.4...- When the Mac is shut down, it still drains battery to 0% in under a few hours.- It drains a lot more battery than comparative USB-C dongles- It becomes very hot- Using the USB-C port to charge on the 15" mac book pro, it charges so slow that when doing intensive tasks, it actually loses charge.- When connecting the charger to the dongle, but not connecting the dongle to the laptop, it makes a high pitched noise, which is very annoying. The good things:- USB-ports work well- HDMI on 1080p works well- SD card slots work well- LAN port works well
