I’m naturally about these levels, but years of coloring and grow out gets dry and multi colored brassy leaning towards level 8/9 on ends. Roots about 20% grey. Results: nice color blend and coverage, natural looking with some gold reflections. Not orange or cherry coke or violet, no green from the ash. But lots of dimension just with these colors. Nice mid range light brunette. Hair feels very soft after only 1 wash out shampoo condition. Much richer truer brown than ion or wella. I find wella pulls really cherry/orange on me. Good luck.

I started using Ultra Vivid Fashion Color 3N about 5 years ago when I couldn't find the brand I had previously used. At first, I declined using it when a sales women at a beauty supply store recommended it. After seeing it in the 3rd beauty supply store I stopped in, I decided to give it a try. I decided it's only hair. Right??What I loved about it first was the fact it came in a large tube of 3oz. I also liked the idea of it being Aloe Vera based low ammonia cream hair color on the market. Once I realized it was carried in all 4 of the beauty supply store's in my area, well I didn't feel as nervous to try it out. I also might add the price was very appealing, between $9 and $10 dollars! My hair is long and medium in thickness. I also might add the price was very appealing, between $9 and $10 dollars! My hair is long and medium in thickness. I'd say the length is close to my lower back. I do have some gray hair, more than I'll admit toošŸ˜‰.Mixing the Satin Hair Color with the developer I used a 1oz Satin Hair Color to 1oz developer ratio just like the direction stated on the box. I followed the directions for gray coverage otherwise the ratio is different. Since I was depositing hair color and not lifting, I used a 5 volume so my hair wouldn't get damaged or fried in the color process! I purchased a hair color bottle with measurements stated on bottle and started with measuring out 3oz of developer and then added the Satin Hair Color. After shaking for a minute the bottle started turning a light brown color. I then checked the measurement in the bottle and I had exactly 6oz..Application was pretty straightforward for those who've colored their own hair. The hair color once mixed was not to thin or to thick and came out very easily. It will however stain anything it comes into contact with. I have noticed I can get it off most anything except wood doors, floor, and countertops take awhile before your rid of it, so apply with caution.Once applied I left hair Color on hair for the full 45 minutes. I also used a plastic cap once I finished apply hair color. When it was time to wash I first rinsed my hair very well, shampooed twice, and put on a 3 minute conditioner. Color easily washed out of bathtub And bathtub walls. After, I styled as usual. What I noticed immediately was my hair was vibrant and had a good shine also I couldn't get over how soft it was for being colored and it smelled amazing.. The corned lasts a good amount of time. I normally need to redo my grow out every 6 weeks. I have absolutely ZERO complaints when it comes to Satin Hair Color Vivid Fashion. It is a product I highly recommend and have used nothing else in 5 years!!

I’m a self taught hair colorist. It’s fun to use this wonderful color, that’s as close to my natural color, as possible. Because I by my own larger bottle of developer, 1 tube lasts me 4 colorings! This is my second time buying this. I’m loving the long lasting, silky soft hair color! (I finish up with some overnight color safe conditioner, to put on my ends.)

Good quality brand
19 December 2019

The quality of this product is very good. I used the correct concentration of developer to color ratio on a test spot. it did not lift my hair. I haven't been able to achieve HI lift color ( any brand)( and I have tried every brand) on my hair since I have had more grey hair because my dark level 6 has gotten darker with hormonal changes. That being said I believe this product is a good value and is high quality, but unfortunately i cannot use high lift colors on my hair any longer . I went back to my stylist for partial foils with bleach is the only way to lighten my resistant dark hormonal hair and tone the grey highlights to blonde. If you have virgin hair that is the correct level, you should have good results!

I Love It and have been using it for over 10 years

I love this hair dye and have been using it for over 10 years now. I love that you can buy different colors of hair dye and create your own hair color if you like. And for root touch ups I have been doing this: Put 1 tablespoon hair dye, and 2 tablespoons developer in a plastic hair dye mixing bowl and mix together with your touch up brush (You can purchase the bowls your nearest hair supply store). I also use the root touch up brushes and they come in a small size and a larger size, and you can use the other end to part your hair while adding hair dye for a root only touch up which can be purchased at any hair supply store. I now touch my hair up 2 times between a full hair dye. It's recommended to put the hair dye on roots only for the first 15 minutes, and put the remaining hair dye on the ends for the last 15 minutes. I hope you love your hair color treatment as much as I do. You can also use the developer to help those nasty grey hairs to hold the dye color by taking your root brush and brush on a little of the developer on the hard to dye areas (normally the grey hair) and leave on for 5 minutes, then you can either prep for a root touch up or a full hair dye.

It's a definite NO for me!
3 November 2020

I purchased 2 tubes of 10a (ash), which should\'ve been a beautiful COOL tone, but no such luck! Instead, it turned my ALREADY blonde hair, PUMPKIN ORANGE!! I then went to a color specialist, spent $100 I didn\'t have, for them to apply not one, but 2 color removers. And it should\'ve worked, considering this color is a demi-permanent. But again, no! I contacted Sleekshop to see about getting a refund, and they referred me to the manufacturer, who denied my request.. Contacted Sleekshop again a week ago, and have yet to hear back from them. Go with a better brand folks!

I had platinum blonde hair but it was getting too expensive to go to the salon all the time. I decided to go back to a brown color. I was told that it wasn't such a good idea to go from platinum blonde to brown at home but I decided to try it anyways. Although I was scared to try it because I have heard that putting brown hair dye straight on top on platinum bleach blonde hair will turn it green because of missing red pigments and that you would need to apply a red filler to the blonde first as a filler. With more research I found out that going from bleach blonde straight to brown would be okay IF YOU DON'T USE AN ASH TONE (this will turn your bleached hair green). With more research I found out that going from bleach blonde straight to brown would be okay IF YOU DON'T USE AN ASH TONE (this will turn your bleached hair green). You would have to use a golden brown or a warm brown to fill in the red pigments. And it's best to use a copper like red instead of just plain red, because red hair dye is the hardest hair color to get rid of even though it is also the one that fades the easiest (slightly confusing, I know). Anyways, I saw this color and was like wow it has golden copper in it but it also has chesnut which provides more a brown color instead of red. Which is exactly what I was looking for. I used 10 developer on all my hair (I had dark black roots and the rest was platinum blonde, I didn't bleach my roots before applying but it still lifted the color to a nice golden brown) and my hair color looks even. I had to use the whole tube because my hair is really long but it's worth it. Fast forward to after I dyed it, It came out perfect. My hair looks golden brown. It feels healthier because of the Satin Color Sealant I used after the application and the hair colour isn't as harsh as others. I love it. Sorry this was long but I hope it helps someone. (:

My favorite!

nnnnI’ve started using this product years ago, later went to a professional for the ā€œfun colorsā€. When I was ready to go back to normal coloring, I came back to this brand, and have again been using it for a couple years now. It doesn’t dry out my hair, and the color is very shiny and natural. I just used it yesterday, as a matter of fact. My only complaint this time around is that I had one partially used tube leak from the bottom seal, and I had another partially used tube leak from the top. So they are getting thrown out. That’s never happened before, so I’m hoping it was a fluke thing, because I don’t want to try to find another brand. I love this one.

The whole Developus/Satin line is extraordinary. I discovered it in a small beauty supply store in Sherman Oaks California that sells to a lot of movie and television hair and make up professionals. I was standing next to a woman who stood with about thirty boxes of Satin and who was the lead stylist for the TV series, Friends. The colors are stunning, but the shine is over the top, probably due to the aloe vera/silicon components. Make sure you use the Developus developer along with the Satin color. Developus makes a developer formulated especially for gray hair. I do my own color, but have my hair cut by a very good stylus. That saves me about $125 at the salon. I give this product 5 star because it works great, vegan option, and covers grays. I give it zero stars for color. it is brown. not mahogany (a reddish bown) not violet. B.r.o.w.n. Quite dissapointed with the color. I would not recommend this product if you are going for the reddish violet color. I would recommend if you want brown.
