A very light shoe with max cushioning

This shoe is incredibly light, with a comfortable upper and plenty of cushioning for those long runs. The carbon fiber plate provides energy return like you wouldn’t believe. You can literally feel the shoe propel you forward. My one complaint is the lacing system. In particular, the eyelets in the middle are spread out farther than your standard setup, making it difficult to really get that snug feeling around the mid foot. As a previous wearer of the Endorphin Speed 2, I found the lacing system on that shoe more effective at keeping my foot locked in. But overall, this is an incredibly light shoe that provides maximum cushioning and energy return.

I have a few other Saucony shoes and I would say these are true to size if you run in the Peregrine or Kinvara models. I have about 250 miles in these from tempos and intervals to all out racing. It's still holding up well and I expect to use them for 150 more miles at least. They are expensive, after all. The midsole is the perfect blend of response and cushion for long miles. It can do anything from the 5k to the Marathon. It has the stability and lightness for the smaller stuff. Very versatile workout/racing shoe. It would be a shame if they were to change the midsole at all. Vaporfly and others are maxed out. This is the only one that is not. Please keep it how it is! Maybe give the shoe a little more structure around the heel collar.

First try at the Saucony Brand!!
26 October 2022

I bought this shoe a few months ago now and have run many sort and long runs. This is a speedy shoe that, at first, I didn't think I would like. The material seemed rather loose and the shoestrings were long and I was just turned off from the start. I gave them a go and very quickly realized that, hey this is a very comfortable, fast shoe. I was pleasantly surprised how the shoe just felt like an extension of my foot and not a shoe on my foot. Love it and because of this I have also upgraded to the Endorphin 3's which are also just as comfortable and fast. Love the shoe, love the technology!! Definitely recommend

What really can I say, the second time I wore these shoes was during my first Full Marathon. No blisters, no hot spots and a whole lot of feedback. I ordered these shoes days before my race, tested it out on a short run to ensure the size was proper, I wear a size 15 shoe, and boy did I immediately notice the difference. I was running way faster than I intended and I couldn’t believe how much faster I was moving even though I was running the same easy pace. Needless to say I sent it on the marathon and was not disappointed! Thank you Saucony for being one of the few brands to make a racing shoe for us bigger foot people! 6’3ft 205lbs.

Great fast shoe
26 February 2023

I’ve raced in this model, but the size wasn’t just right. With this shoe, the size has been perfect. The two primary uses I intend for this shoe is 1. To practice pace runs, and 2. Use as a very able backup (and maybe primary) race shoe to my also newly purchased Endorphim Pro- 3 shoes. I love the 3’s, and have worn them for a marathon as well. However, these Pro-2’s feel really good underfoot, and feel light as a feather! I love the bright colors too.

Love my Endorphin Pro 2!
13 April 2022

I instantly fell in love with the original Endorphin Pro. I have been a runner for 40+ years and it is the MOST responsive shoe I have ever worn. The Endorphin Pro 2 is no different. Everything that Saucony touts with the shoe is true: light, breathable, comfortable, cushioning without squishiness, speedroll/toe off, responsiveness - it's all spot on. I call the shoe a "game-changer." If there was a bit of critique I have it would be cornering with them isn't as stable as a normal shoe. It's also a bit slippery when the pavement is wet. That's trivial for me. I even wore my original Endorphin Pro during the first 100 mile ultra I ever ran (Fall of 2021) and set a National Age Group record in them! Loved the first ones. Bought another pair!
25 July 2022

My first pair was my first Saucony shoes ever. That was over 6 months ago so I had a solid impression developed for this second pair, which just arrived. The new ones fit and perform exactly the same as the 6-month old ones, which have seen a wide variety of training runs and lots of races on different courses. Between the foam and the carbon plate, the cushioning is great and very natural as I change pace and stride length. Not at all like some other carbon fiber shoes I've tried that wanted me to run fast only. Outsole wear is very slight and well distributed. These will last a long time.

So much bounce! Beware of sizing snafu!
28 July 2021

This shoe is super comfortable with the extra width, and really returns the energy! It takes a bit of time getting used to, and I noticed how my gait running changed and it affected various muscle groups differently so got a bit sore after the first runs. But it's an astonishing improvement over any previous shoes. The only issue to be aware of (and only reason for the deducted point) is regarding sizing:1. Saucony got the US-EU scaling wrong in their sizing, so that e.g., their 11.5 says it's EU 46 when really that's 45 and 11 is 44 but their says it's 45. I usually end up between 44 & 45 EU (11 & 11.5 US) for other shoes so had to pick and went with the EU sizing first (US 11 & EU 45) only to find out that they were too small. So I guess the US sizing is the ... MoreThis shoe is super comfortable with the extra width, and really returns the energy! So I guess the US sizing is the correct one and one can't trust the EU sizing. This sizing snafu is not just at the ordering stage btw but the wrong conversion is printed inside the shoes. I'll update my rating once they fix this but until then Saucony & REI will see a lot of shoes go back that were people erred on the wrong side of the conversion error.2. Another issue that might be unique to my foot geometry (so I'm not deducting a point for it) with the cut of these is that I can't get the larger version to be fully snug although they're clearly not too long (and the 11/45 ones were clearly too short), and my left foot slides out every so slightly with every step I guess because it's a little smaller though I haven't ever had this problem with any other shoes.

Warning! Saucony Endorphin Pro's are addictive!
10 April 2022

They are running shoes made to run fast while keeping your legs fresh! Although they're known to yield great benefits for middle distances, they totally come to your rescue when you're out for longer. The 5mm heel to toe drop allows me to keep the same running form as with the NB Minimus 10V2's!They provide all the cushion you need and absorb the impact from speed stride or those dropping feet when you get tired. The nylon plated Endorphine Speed are not as rigid and are better suited for runners with slower turnover. I find that the Pro 2 compared to the Pro 1, are a little narrower on the dorsal region but you can loosen the laces a little to offset that. Highly recommended.
