These are the best of the Speed series so far. I'm wide-footed and over-pronate but managed to make the first Speeds work for me (sizing up 1/2 size and strengthening my lower leg muscles). I went through 4-5 pairs, including running 2 marathons and a handful of halfs. Speed 2 didn't work for me - shape is too narrow and sole kept moving during run. These Speed 3's are another level. They are probably wide enough for me to not have to size up. They are much much more stable than the previous models. I didn't even like running on rough pavement with those, while I have run some easy trails with the 3s. I was going to try the Tempus's but I don't know that I really want/need more support than these. They are also THE most comfortable running shoe I've worn. It does seem they made some tradeoffs: noticeably heavier, a little clunkier feeling, a little less energy/bounciness, but the gains in comfort, support, and the softer more absorptive ground feel are worth it for me. I'll note that they *feel* a little slower than previous models, but after nearly 100 miles, it seems my pace in these is pretty comparable to previous models (which is typically 15-30sec/mile faster than most of my other shoes).Anyway, I think they're great, hope they stick with the changes in future models.

I have been running on New Balance Fresh Foam 1080s for a while. A solid shoe, but I was looking for something just a touch better. After a lot of research, I decided to get the Endorphin Speed 3s. I went to Fleet Feet tried on a pair. The initial ride was great. I ran a 3 mile run the first day with them and they felt great. The next day I ran a 5K for the fourth of July. I had a great time. During the run I could feel the shoe giving a lot back to me in power. It was a nice cushioned ride and responsive with the nylon plate. After the 5K I was certain I found my new go to shoe. I should also mention I am training for two marathons and three half marathons within the next year. The next day I decided to venture past the low miles and really test the shoe. I should also mention I am training for two marathons and three half marathons within the next year. The next day I decided to venture past the low miles and really test the shoe. At about mile 4 I felt the back of my heel start to burn. At the end of a 7 mile run, I had developed blisters on the achilles area from that piece of hard rubber on the exterior of the heel counter. It just kept digging into my ankle. I used mole skin, put on my 1080s for a few days and continued to run with those. When my blisters healed I tried a three mile run in the Endorphins and at the end of the run, I noticed the same area was starting to form another blister. I had my ankle locked in, the size was spot on, normal toe room. My ankle didn't feel any slipping. It was just that rubber piece digging in. I really wanted these shoes to work for me. If Saucony removes the rubber piece or lowers it about 3/4 of an inch I would try the shoe again. I loved how cushioned they were but didn't sacrifice responsiveness. It is a good shoe as it is, however with a couple of small changes it could be a great shoe. The only other thing I would say is they can be a slippery shoe. I ran after a rain one day and they didn't grip nearly as well as the 1080s. The grip isn't a deal breaker, but the blisters from the rubber piece on the heel counter is. I returned the shoes after a couple of weeks to Fleet Feet and bought another pair of 1080 V12s.

I love these shoes! I have been a dedicated Saucony shoe buyer for about 6 years now. I've had multiple versions of the Triumph and currently have the Tempus. I was getting near 400km on the Tempus and preparing for a 30km race (Around the Bay) and decided to get a new pair for the last long training run and race day. After reading several positive reviews, I landed on the Endorphin Speed 3, and glad I did. Very similar in the overall shape and fit to the Tempus, but having the full PWRRUN PB made a huge difference in keeping my legs from getting tired after cranking up the kms. They are definitely more "bouncy" than other models I have worn, which made things feel less stable at first. They are definitely more "bouncy" than other models I have worn, which made things feel less stable at first. However, I did not feel any loss of control and they are definitely comfortable, even if there is less padding in certain parts compared to other models.I noticed the benefits of the bounce (and the plate) on the hills, both up and down. Going up I felt a bit more forward-energy and going down, a friendly cushion bounce to catch the weight.Despite what I read in other reviews, I did not experience any tongue slippage, the laces were flat and pretty durable. They were comfortable out of the box and are great for me for short and long runs.My only pick would be the fact that there is less outsole tread than other models, making me think they may wear faster (I've run 900km in some Sauconys) or may not be as grippy in slick weather. But after 80km, there has not been too much wear (you can still feel the fine original "bumps" in the sole in most spots). Have not run in rain, but on wet ground with no issues. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to pick up their pace in long or short runs in comfort!

I really wanted to love the 3's but, to me, they are a pretty significant downgrade from the Speed 2's. I loved everything about the 2's (own 3 pairs), especially the 'pop' they delivered. The magic just isn't there for me in the 3's. Don't get me wrong, its still a good shoe but I found it to be a fairly big step down from the Speed 2's. I'm not sure why but after running in the 3's, my left big toe feels like I have turf toe. The toebox of the 3's is extremely roomy. I have wide feet and its almost a bit too much for even me. On top of that, there is more give to the upper material. I loved the snugger fit of the 2's. To me, the speedroll was more aggressive (which I loved) in the 2's and the 3's feel kind of 'flat'. To me, the speedroll was more aggressive (which I loved) in the 2's and the 3's feel kind of 'flat'. I also find it just a bit harder to pick up the pace in the 3's due to the slightly softer midsole. Personally, I don't find the 3's to be as versatile as the 2's are for me. Yes, the 3's can still get the job done but I find them to be more like any of the daily trainers out there. The 2's are the holy grail for me as they felt pretty much effortless at any pace or for any type of workout. I really hope the 4's bring back the same magic that the 2's had because I dont think I will be purchasing the 3's again.
This is my second pair. They are bouncy, light, and fun to run in. Great for speed workouts and long runs, but comfortable enough for easy recovery runs too. My son runs in the regular width and they accommodate his wide feet well, while I wear the 2E, and I’m grateful to Saucony for finally making them in wide. I like the fact that they’re a little wider and more stable than versions 1 and 2. Some people say version 3 is not as fast as the first two versions, but that’s not my experience. I also find this version to be more durable than previous versions — my first pair of version 3 remained a joy to run in for around 500 miles, despite my running a lot of those miles on gravel. Just started up running again after about 6 or so years. I’ve been a runner for recreation never competitively. I be been running in cross trainers not realizing I needed running shoes. I ve been running long distances 15-18 miles training for a marathon. Putting about 50 miles a week in. I bout these along with 5 other pairs including Nike zoom Nike pegusis, brooks ghost 20 Thea are all cushiony shoes and are great shoes. I do like the saucony speed 3 the best for everything interval training, long runs, and races (3 so far 1/2 marathon 5k and 5 mile). I find my self lacing up the saucony speed 3 the most. They are the most fun to run in. Really enjoy them. In fact I gotta go because I’m lacing them up now and running out the door!
The Endorphin Speed 3 shoes are a game-changer for runners seeking speed and responsiveness. From the moment I slipped them on, I felt an immediate difference in my pace. These shoes are incredibly responsive and fast, allowing me to shave off 30 seconds to a minute per mile during my regular 5-mile runs. The lightweight design and innovative cushioning technology provide the perfect balance of support and energy return, propelling me forward with every stride. Whether I'm tackling speed workouts or long runs, the Endorphin Speed 3 shoes deliver unmatched performance and help me push my limits. If you're looking to take your running to the next level, these shoes are a must-have.
I’m coming up on my third year of running. Previously been mostly casual with no rhyme or reason to my runs. Finally maintaining a higher base of miles as well as having some structure to my week, so I decided to sign up for a race. With that I decided to invest in a new rotation of shoes to keep things interesting, with the ES3 being the keystone. They feel fairly light but well constructed. Super comfortable right out of the box, no break-in required. Fairly stable at slower speeds, also real easy to pick up the pace. I’ve done speed workouts and long runs in them, legs and feet felt great after. I never wore the ES2 so can’t compare, but I’ve worn some similar models from other brands, and the ES3 just felt so natural and easy to run in. I was able to pick it up on sale and with the discount it was a no brainer. I’ve only got 30 miles on them, so will see how long the bounce lasts, but assuming it stays the same these shoes are a game changer. For someone like me who isn’t an elite or sub-elite runner who doesn’t need the super shoe option, this is a great and affordable step down.
There's a reason why this shoe is loved by many. It's comfortable, light, stable, and looks good! The ES3 is slightly wider than the last two models and now it fits my wide foot perfect. It's great for short quick runs and comfy enough to log in your slow daily miles as well. Not to mention it's super durable, some reviews on YouTube have it going as far as 1,000 miles! I'm a heavier runner that is getting into running and these feel fantastic. It just blows my mind how light and bouncy they are while still being stable. Do yourself a favor and give these a try. Your body and legs will not regret it.
As usual, I did a lot of research before parting with my hard earned cash and the Endorphin Speed 3 kept coming out as top choice to plug the gap I had for a faster paced daily trainer. As I already have the Endorphin Pro 3 for racing and been impressed with that, I was pretty confident that I'd like this shoe. The first run was an easy 5 mile club run, a hilly mix of light trails and road on very tired legs after a big training block.First impression was how comfortable they were, no issues getting a good fit and they coped effortlessly with both the damp trails and the road. Inevitably for a club run, the pace picked up over the last couple of miles and, whilst they don't offer the carbon plate propulsion of the Pro 3s, the shoes were definitely giving me a boost. Writing this a day later, my legs are in good shape due to the excellent cushioning despite weighing only 240g in my size UK9.5. Given the amount of exposed midsole and limited rubber, I was also impressed with how well they coped with the trails and there is no damage whatsoever. In summary, if you're looking for a daily trainer that you can use for pretty much anything from an easy run to faster paced work and maybe even races, the Speed 3 is definitely worth a look. having ,been released some time ago, there are also some good deals as well - why pay more!
