Stepping out of the shadow of the past and leaping into the future, this classic returns in the form of the Saucony Shadow 5000. Originally released in 1989 as a performance runner, the shoe represents a period of genuine innovation in running technology where athletics met aesthetics. Now, 30 years later, the Shadow 5000 has transcended its sporting roots and evolved into a modern classic.

I like the style of these, but they're lacking in comfort. They're incredibly stiff. I got the green first, and they seemed comfortable, they were just worn already. I switched to the beige, and they feel like they need breaking in (hopefully). After reading everyone's mixed reviews on sizing, I ordered these half a size up from my normal size. I wear an 8 men's in most other shoes.
