A quote from my sneaker obsessed son and he is not wrong! I wasn't sure if I would like these, but ordered after seeing them featured in the Fall Travel Capsule collection. I wanted trendy sneakers that are still comfy for long walks while traveling. These totally fit the bill. Super comfy from first try on. Fit TTS for me (I saw reviews elsewhere to size up half a size but these are perfect). Love how they come with two lace color options too - white or tan. LOVE.

These 6000 Cappuccinos are amazing! BETTER in hand🔥 The comfort of these are way better than anything else, take it from a sneakerhead. I wear a TTS 8.5 in men and I go 1/2 size up for 5&6000s and they feel amazing on foot. Saucony is slowly taking over my sneaker room because of the quality and love that is put into the shoes. Quality is way better than al of my retro Js and Air Max 1s that I have a whole wall of. If you are on the fence, go 1/2 size up from your air max 1 size and you too will fall in love. I promise you. On top of the beauty of them, you dont see them on every other person feet like a lot of trash quality leather retro Js and what everyone is wearing. I like to be different and these are FIRE. Please dont stop and please restock some of the harder to find collabs from years ago. Please. Thanks for everything!

These turned out to be not so much to my liking, largely due to an irritating seam between the heel and the collar. To be blunt, although the styling is very snazzy, they’re not very ambulatory shoes and I was very disappointed. I remember being blown away by the comfortable foam heel of the Ride 14, which I attributed to design rather than materials, but in my senseless vanity, I wanted a smart, retro looking sneaker that uses less plastic, and is designed for walking rather than running. I tried the Omni Walker 3 and the fabric heel was quickly shredded by moderate activity. It’s not that I have a particularly incisive or sharp heel—it’s an utterly conventional foot, and I assure you I secure my feet within the shoes very carefully. It’s not that I have a particularly incisive or sharp heel—it’s an utterly conventional foot, and I assure you I secure my feet within the shoes very carefully. Regrettably, the materials simply weren’t durable.I've had decent leather sneakers in the past, and for a higher price point I figured the Shadow Premium would deliver on both. This would prove to be incorrect as the footbed was cramped compared to the Ride, and the leather construction of the upper was actually quite unforgiving despite hours of trying to break them in--a process that ought to be unheard of for sneakers. I'd intended to use them as an athletic shoe at the gym as well as a street shoe, but they're altogether unsuited for movement due to a painfully placed seam between the collar and the heel of the shoe. The effect is rather like having your bare skin rasped at each stride. As with the Omni Walker, multiple ingenious and unconventional lacings were attempted, with a variety of aftermarket insoles. I have little doubt that an anatomical freak could be located to fit the shoe perfectly, but I consulted the size chart closely in respect to width and length of my foot, and it simply would not hunt at the specified size of 10.5. In the future I'll probably temper my expectations--an athletics shoe that looks good and feels good at an acceptable price point simply does not exist in this day and age--I think the most useful way of thinking about it is that the uglier the shoe is designed to be, the more comfortable it will end up being for your average consumer. Saucony, if you’re willing to indulge this fantasy, I propose that what you do is essentially to -skin- a Shadow 6000 and put it onto a Ride 14 with a less pronounced heel drop to support walking. Use foam construction on the heel and a leather upper. Style, comfort, performance. That would be nice.

I purchased the Kintsugi Shadow 6000 immediately upon seeing pics of the shoe on saucony.com. I'm a long time fan and I know a nice pair of Shadow 6000s when I see one.....anyways, there is nothing about this shoe that will let you down. It's extremely nice. The material selections and overall quality are superb. I'm not playing when I say this pair of sneakers has materials that rival any collaborative effort that I've personally owned. The suede is baby soft. The nubuck is "buttery". The exposed foam on the tongue is a nice touch. The "leather" sockliner & tongue liner are a nice touch. The colorway on this shoe is gorgeous in-hand. The pics on don't do them justice whatsoever......and now is the time for the BUT part. I had forgotten that saucony.com ships ... MoreI purchased the Kintsugi Shadow 6000 immediately upon seeing pics of the shoe on saucony.com. I had forgotten that saucony.com ships without double boxing, so I essentially received a gorgeous pair of collab level Shadow 6000s in a completely crushed/destroyed box.Thankfully, I am a SHOE person and not a let's collect boxes person. However, I do keep my shoeboxes as they are a nice storage option....and the one that came w/ this pair of sneakers isn't fit to be anywhere but the bin.
I love these gore tex! I wish I wouldn't have slept on them and missed the brown pair! These are perfect for the nasty Ohio winter and they look even better in hand/on foot! I swapped the reflective laces out of my Shadow Offspring Stealths which makes look WAY BETTER! These should come with reflective laces! I will be buying the brown and green color ways for sure. Saucony please restock the brown! Please feel free to make many more color ways of these gore tex too! These are amazing! The green gives me Feature “ living fossil” vibes which I missed out on which I like. Way to go Saucony! Thank you for knocking it out of the park! Or should I say “ PAH-K” since you are Boston based. Go Red Sox!
I've been using Shadow 6000 shoes for almost 30 years. They are durable and offer excellent fit with my orthotics. They are neutral so they don't overcompensate or over correct my pronation with my orthotics. I just wish style #S70441-1, white/gray/navy, were more consistently available. I usually purchase 2-3 pairs when I can get them. Most recently I bought 3 pairs of gray suede, S70662-4, because my preferred shoes weren't available. Other than that supply inconsistency, I'm a very satisfied customer.
As soon as I laced up these Saucony Shadow 6000 sneakers, it was like I time warped right back to the 80s fitness craze. Suddenly I had a urge to put on a leotard, legwarmers, and a headband. These shoes are totally tubular with their rad gray and orange colors. It's like a pair of Reeboks and a can of fresh Tang got together to make the perfect retro kick.I felt like I should be teaching jazzercise or aerobics in a neon studio with these babies on my feet. They just scream flashdance! Now all I need is a sweatband, some teal tights, and I'll be ready to strike a pose worthy of Jane Fonda. So if you're looking to channel your inner '80s fitness instructor, these Sauconys will like, totally transform your look to the max. They're so bitchen' they should come ... MoreAs soon as I laced up these Saucony Shadow 6000 sneakers, it was like I time warped right back to the 80s fitness craze. I bought these back in June, around Father’s Day. I absolutely LOVE the color and style of the shoe. It’s bright and provides a pop of color. I’ve gotten so many compliments on these - if I’m honest, I’ve gotten more compliments on these than most other shoes I’ve bought. That said, I do have a couple things that I’m not super pleased with. Before listing those items, I want to stress that I will definitely buy another pair of these (a different color way of course). The things that I’m not crazy about with these are: 1.) they aren’t super comfortable for long periods of time. I wore them for several hours on July 4th and after about 2 hours was wishing I had a different pair of shoes to change in to. They just didn’t feel good on my feet. I wore them for several hours on July 4th and after about 2 hours was wishing I had a different pair of shoes to change in to. They just didn’t feel good on my feet. Before saying “maybe they were too small”, I bought a size up from what I normally would. It just feels like there isn’t enough cushion in them - IMO. 2.) It looks like the toe tab (where the sole wraps up on the toe) is trying to pull away from the toe area. Maybe it’s my imagination on this, but it looks like it wants to. I keep thinking I see a small gap forming between the shoe and toe tab. I didn’t pay attention to the way this looked when I first opened the shoes up - had I had the slightest idea that was happening, I would have sent them back immediately for a different pair. 3.) I may be being very nit picky here, but these seem to scuff easier than other shoes I’ve owned. Admittedly I’ve owned nothing but Nike’s for the last 8-10 years and I’ve always felt like they were indestructible, but I felt it was time to try something different.Even with these few things, I still absolutely love these shoes! I’d recommend them. Just keep in mind, they’re a bit delicate and shouldn’t be worn for hours on end.
So cute, love the style. I give them 4 stars because they're not as comfortable or wearable right out of the box as compared to my Jazz 81's. I also agree that the sizing was a bit off. I am a women's size 7 in all my running shoes and tennis shoes. However, with unisex sizing with the Jazz's, I was a 7.5, or a unisex 6, so I ordered the same size as my jazz 81's...BUT they were a half size too big in this model. I'm deciding to keep them because it seems the 5.5's will never get in stock and putting inserts in them seems to work fine. Also, the part of the shoe around the ankle was rubbing, unlike the 81's, which is a lot lower on my ankle and has given me no trouble, even with no-show socks. Maybe I should put 3 stars because of all the sizing and fit issues but ... MoreSo cute, love the style. I haven’t bought shadows in years, I was an avid fan of the Jazz. But since the “81” redesign of the shoe, and utilizing unisex sizing, I’ve moved on to other brands. I went ahead and ordered a pair of the shadows hoping the engineers didn’t ruin these as well. Wrong. The toe box is now tight and uncomfortable same as the 81 unisex redesign. What was once the most comfortable retro shoe, is now just another fashion statement. Similar to onitsuka tigers. These absolutely suck and hurt my feet. I wish Saucony would listen to their customers and go back to making these shoes with the original design. Which was flawless.
