Jack Carr continues to create such vivid imagery in his third instalment. A brilliant read for anyone who loves an action movie in a book.

Author Jack Carr is a former US Navy SEAL and has the background to get his books right. His detailed accuracy is impeccable. He was not originally an author, but his writing simply gets better in each book. Some may be turned away by the violence or by the technical detail included, but others are attracted to the realism. If you are interested in fast-moving action and correct tactics, weapons and equipment, I highly recommend Jack Carr's writing.

I be love hard cover books and these shipped fast! Love these books and the series on amazon prime :)
Jack Carr's books give you a great insight of what it takes to live the life of a warrior.Terrific story, his description of events made me I was there.Savage Son, is his best so far.
Great author and story, one of three novels.
Great continuation of the James Reece saga! Yes there is product placement, but to tell the story through character building, and detail. Ok maybe a little for the brands, and community that supported Jack Carr, but so what.
Jack Carr is a good writer. Keeps the story moving. I'd say he's a good deal better than Brad Thor or Vince Flynn, on the average. Not to say they are bad, Thor is pretty good, especially his earlier novels. the only quibble I have with the story is this: there is no man on earth who could hit a man at200+ yards with an M1911 pistol ! If Carr was special forces he should have known this. And an M1911 is NOT a suitable gun for defending oneself at against grizzly bears! if he wanted his protagonist to have a handgun in addition to his bow, it should have been at least a .44 Magnum with a long barrel. it would be damned hard to hit a man at 200+ yards with a long barreled .44 Mag, but doing so with a 1911 is , well like doing it with a sllngshot.
Good read, details are excellent in describing action areas. Heart beat goes up and a nice story runs it's thread through out the book. If there is a criticism it would be only an aside saying this is a young author still feeling his way. Give me the next book ... seasoned a bit and Brad Thor will have his competition.
i've previously purchased and dowloaded e-books from booktopia.however now it appears that you have to download a proprietary app in order to read them.why not a simple epub file that can be read with apple books or kindle, etc?unimpressed
