This solar panel battery charger is NOT weatherproof (only rated for indoor use), does NOT have reverse polarity protection in case it is accidentally connected incorrectly, and does NOT have any feature to demonstrate that it is even functioning and charging when exposed to sunlight (you would have to check it with a multimeter).
Do not buy. Puts out 22V as no regulator. Killed my 12 month old marine deep cycle gel. Will be interesting how my return and claim goes.
Almost Useless. Not waterproof, so must be used “inside, at a window”. Cables are not long enough to set-up adequately. Worse still, it’s described as a “maintenance charger” but does not automatically shut off; if left unattended for too long it can pretty much blow up the battery. I’m returning it.
I’m not sure it’s doing anything and will need to connect it to a multimeter to find out. Previous smaller and cheaper panels have packed much more grunt and have been very long-lived (I just didn’t bring any with me when moving interstate). Connectivity is also disappointing as it only has the alligator clips and nothing else. I guess this is irrelevant though if it’s failing to provide any meaningful output.
Bought two of these to keep my 24v 60 Series charged, one on each battery. Over three weeks the batteries have stayed at 25.7v on the 24v side and 12.6 on the 12v side without a single drive so they work great. They sit on the dash and the wires sit between the rubber door seal/cab with the door shut just fine.
This product is not weather or water proof so can’t be left on outside of windscreen. It also states that the item needs to be well ventilated so this rules out leaving inside on windscreen in a locked car. Defeats purpose of having the item.

However there are many shortcommings with this device:-There is no regulation of battery voltage and this could overcharge a battery and boil the electrolyte. The device suggests using a multimeter. Sure.-There is no polarity safety feature and the connectors are wired different from other chargers I have, so be careful.-The device isn't waterproof and the connector is bulky making it impossible to use OEM grommets to pass the wires through the firewall in the engine bay.-In addition to the point above, I had to cut the wires to feed it through the firewall. I have brought two of these one was new one was a return as a lot of the packaging was missing not good enough click and collect brought a holden fridge the stickers were coming off so got a new one and light in fridge doesn't work and all they would do is give me a $30.00 refund when it cost me $330.00 this sort of stuff should not happen when people spend there hard earned money on this stuff get it right Supercheap auto
