I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this online as I have had previous bad experiences with oil drain pans, but wow was I impressed. First thing I noticed was how light it was, deceptive given the 5litre size, lifted effortlessly from the counter, and as I did the finish blew me away. The gloss back surface of the moulded plastic shimmered in the fluorescent haze of the store, reflecting back a finish even Ferrari would be proud of. I raced home and straight to the kitchen to grab the olive oil (note: I didn't want to have its first experience to be with filthy old sump oil)I channelled my inner Jaimie Oliver, and from a height, I swirled and lashed that olive oil all over its glossy surface. It did not disappoint, it held the oil like nothing I have ever ... MoreI wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this online as I have had previous bad experiences with oil drain pans, but wow was I impressed. Was the incorrect size for vw Bora. Clearly Bora has 5litres of oil no room for movement. Massive mess of oil on my drive way to now clean up..!!!!

Pan works well enough. My Yaris almost filled the pan... even though it only takes 3.7L of oil. The main reason for the poor review is that the embossed logo makes it difficult to clean afterwards. Stupid logo placement. For the cost, why do I need the ad on the thing I just bought?

Used this today for an oil and filter change on the Laser Amazer.Works great; no spillage or splash. Good capacity for smaller engines. Diameter is large enough to cover the full trajectory of oil when the drain plug is removed. The buit-in filter drain peg is a nice feature and worked well also.Emptying into a container using a funnel is recommended. This way any spillage is greatly reduced. Drain pan is rigid enough not to flex when full of oil and emptying also. For $5 this is a great buy.
This was perfect to slip under my motorcycle. By the time I finished it was pretty close to overflowing, but still held a full load. Pouring out took some skills but I managed everything without spillage. Useful addition to any small volume oil change kit.
I wouldn't recommend this oil drain pan as the imprinted SCA logo in the bottom centre of the pan causes oil to spray everywhere when it initially starts flowing. You know how some times at the kitchen sink, you'll rinse a bowl out and theres a spoon sitting in the bowl and the water hits the spoon and shoots up and goes everywhere. Similar thing happens with this pan, except its dirty oil, so not real cool. Buy a drain pan with a flat bottom aka no imprinted logo aka not this one.
Stuck it under the car and it caught all the oil. Surprising really. Works better than your Mum s baking tray.
Pretty good value for 5 bucks, not the greatest design though. The logo on the bottom is raised and catches oil making it harder to clean. The spout is too small/not angled enough so it’s a bit more difficult than it should be to poor it back in without spilling. Other than that works great
Great for those DIY oil and fluid changes. Has got a oil filter holder. For those 4 cylinder spin on type. Also has a measure for how many litres it has drained! Very useful for those transmission fluid replacement if you have no clue how much came out! Good for home use. Great buy.
as other reviewers have stated the outlet pourer is a little wide (but decant via a funnel fixes this), the big problem I had was there's a lip near the pourer to stop the oil spilling over as u pour, nice idea but its just not tall enough So imagine trying to carefully lift 5 litres of warm oil and slowly (and it has to be slowly) pour the oil into a funnel into an old oil container? u go too fast and it all spills over this little lip. I'll be reviewing removing oil from concrete next week!
