All Scanpan stainless steel products use the best quality 18/10 s/steel for the interior, this Impact range has 6.4mm total thickness bonded sandwich base according to Scanpan User Guide. This multi purpose pan is very good to cook or boil and it can also be used with the steamer together at the same time.

I have recently purchased a few Scanpan Impact cookware items; stew pot 32cm, stew pot 28cm & the multi-purpose pan 28cm and so far with daily Asian cooking they are excellent. I love these pans due to the sizes available, design & they are perfect for making pasta, Pho soup (stock), stir fry black bean beef with veggies, steam veggies, steam fish etc. No issue with cleaning & food sticking to these pans so far. I have recommended these pans to families & friends and they also love the Scanpan Impact products.

The two main reasons I love my Scanpans are that the bottom of the pan is so solid it never can buckle (I hate it when frypans buckle and you can't get even cooking) and the second reason is the stainless steel surface is not coated with nasty, peeling, non stick material which some other brands have. I like the high edge on this pan which makes it so versatile that you don't have to worry about spillage. The steamer insert is great because it is wide so you can spread food out instead of stacking it like other steamer/pan sets. I will be throwing all my buckled, non stick frypans out as they just don't measure up to the Scanpans. Love this Scanpan product. Quality always predictably excellent. I use this saucepan set almost every day and it has replaced several old sets that now have paled into insignificance.Always best results from this wonderful; saucepan set.The design is great as it fits beautifully on my cooktop even with others there as well and I use it for cooking a variety of meals and it always comes up trumps. Dishwasher loves it- sparkles as new after washing.
