A bit heavy, but much lighter than cast iron. This pan has more ribs than the old pan we loved, so still learning how to best cook on it. The non-stick coating makes it easy to clean. The bottom has some sharp edges around the add induction cooking base that I hope smooths out with time. The "hanging hole" on the handle could be a little bigger to make it easier hang. Our choices were limited as we needed a smaller pan for our 30" electric cooktop range and we're glad we found this one. All in all a very good pan.

Love this pan. I love cooking vegetables on it. This thing retains heat very well. Even cooking and easy clean up. Not too heavy, but a sturdy well made skillet that I know won?t start chipping and flaking away.It was worth the money. Highly recommend.
I bought this pan because I have a couple of Non-stick Scanpan fry pans and they have been great - and because i wanted an induction capable pan. I waited a suitable time to review so that i had enough reference to draw from. The pan is solid and grills really well - BUT....after approx six months the non-stick coating has come off in numerous spots - both on the flat surfaces, as well as on the grill ridges. (see white spots and discolored areas) i have never used any sprays, oils, or metal utensils with the pan - and have only cleaned it with standard dishsoap and a plain sponge. Other than that it is a nice pan.
Like all of the higher end Scanpan products, strong and attractive handle, induction capable, well balanced heat. Grill marks provided and juice drips to the bottom. it's a great alternative to BBQ'ing inside, and likely way healthier.Like all of these wonderful products, you can use metal utensils to flip and move product.
Very nice grill pan. I had yesterday a NY strip steak dinner and it was the best grill at home for a long time. Grill Pan and the meat made it successful.
Heavy duty pan. It is literally quite heavy showing great quality. It grills perfectly. Easy to clean.

The best griddle I have ever used. Exc heat distribution - so easy to clean. Used for cooking steak, lamb, pork and chicken. Beautiful char grill markings and meat so tender. Sturdy with high sides yet the pan is not too heavy. V happy.
