Scarpa Origin Women Clearance EU 42 / Green/Blue/Smoke

The starting point in our climbing career is of fundamental importance. It gives rise to the genetic building blocks that shape our climbing lives. The Origin Wmn offers a lush leather upper, giving a feeling of padded luxury that is rarely found in a shoe aimed at encouraging people to start climbing. The flat profile and relatively relaxed randing ease the climber's feet into a cocoon of comfort. The hook-and-loop closure keeps the foot snug and well positioned during use. The Origin introduces SCARPA's Vision rubber, a proprietary compound that is both sticky and resilient to all the conditions that new climbers feet will experience.

Good first climbing shoe
16 November 2018

I’ve used these shoes for over a year now and they’ve held up well. I bought them when I was pretty new to climbing and used them mostly in the gym. I’ve since transitioned to outdoor climbing and find they do well for Trad as they’re quite comfortable, but aren’t quite narrow enough for any crack climbing (a little too comfy). They’re also not great for slab since they don’t have much of an edge, and I switched to a more aggressive shoe for indoor sport climbing for smaller holds. So in summary, great beginner shoe for beginner climbing and comfort, but if you intend to scale up quickly in your climbing endeavours, maybe choose something a tad more aggressive.

Great first set of climbers
17 December 2020

This shoe was my first set of climbers. I have had them for 3 months now and they are comfortable and really do the job well! I'm usually a size 7 (but have wide feet) and needed a 7.5 in these.

Great first shoes
21 August 2018

I bought these shoes when I first started climbing and they were great. They weren't very aggressive (meaning the arch wasn't too high) so they were comfortable for climbing and walking around the gym. I wear a 5 in normal shoes and took a 5.5 in these.

These were my first climbing shoes and I loved them! They were comfortable and great for climbing (but you could also walk around the gym with these on). Strongly recommend!

Great shoes
23 June 2018

I purchased these about nine months ago as my first pair of rock climbing shoes. I have been using them on average three times a week (for indoor rock climbing & bouldering), and they have been holding up really well (see picture).Concerning size: I usually wear 7.5 for regular outdoor shoes. Surprisingly, the most suitable fit for me with these Sportivas is 7.5, too.I love them!

Great shoes for beginners!
14 August 2017

I bought these a month ago or so, and worn them almost everyday since! They are easy to slip on and broke in very nicely. The arch isn't too high, so wearing them for hours on end won't hurt your feet. Also, great grip on the sole! I'm impressed with the quality.
