Terra trail/hill walking boots from Scarpa are lightweight despite being made from robust full grain leather, quite the opposite of the traditional leather boots which often used to be heavy. A stiff midsole gives plenty of support, both longitudinally and laterally, while the Vibram sole is hardwearing and has a good deep tread, angled on the heels for extra grip. A Gore-tex liner keeps the water out while remaining breathable and the seams are double stitched to cope with flexing as you walk. The cuff and tongue are luxuriously padded for comfort and come fairly high for good ankle support. Scarpa have a long established reputation for quality footwear and they have come up with another winner here.
