I have worn Scarpa boots for over twenty years now. These are my fifth Pair. Yes I walk many kilometres here in Australia and overseas. They never let me down with comfort and stability.This latest pair are no exception. The ZG trek takes little running in. Very comfortable and just the right height in the ankle to provide support for rocky terrain. Grippy Vibram sole with just the right stiffness if carrying a heavy pack. Yet the boot is light and enables brisk travel over terrain. Goretex lined so waterproof in wet conditions. I usually apply a water repellent product like nikwax every few months just to maintain the exterior barrier to the elements.
