My hand and pot washing bucket is placed on the picnic table seat. Gravity fed is great and the container serves its purpose.

This Scepter 04933 Military Style water container is amazing with how it’s set up and works. It comes with a spout that has a screen in it to make sure nothing is coming out but water. The spout also can be stored inside of the container when not in use. The spout is great. My large family loves to camp and go four wheeling. We always need to haul water and it’s so much easier using the Scepter water containers. Easier to carry and easier all the way around when having to haul water. Top notch quality product right here!!

Being in a camping trailer I like these water containers because of their space saving narrow design. They are thick walled and sturdy, so are long lasting. But on the down side, these water containers are poorly designed with no hand indent on the bottom or second handle, so keeps slipping from your hand while pouring water out of them. Then the air vent does not work well. You have to pull HARD while turning to open it, and is impossible to close completely, so leaks water if it falls over or tips too much while moving them. Also, there is no spigot, so is only good for storing and transferring water to another container that has one. Although I was able to make a spigot on the second try, as it's tricky to find a spigot that will fit inside of the narrow neck, ... MoreBeing in a camping trailer I like these water containers because of their space saving narrow design. So find these water containers suitable for someone on a tight budget. But if you need a spigot and can afford it, you would be better off buying a container that comes with one.
A great water container for camping! Just recently went on a camping trip for a few days and this water container was absolutely great to bring along because we never had to go back to town to buy more water as this holds 5 gallons which was more than enough for a few days of camping for my girlfriend and I. The container has a wonderful solid construction to it and a great flexible pour spout which makes it very easy to fill other containers with water. The seal was watertight and had absolutely no leaks whatsoever with the water spout in or out for pouring. I would highly recommend this military-style 5 gallon water container by Scepter!
IMHO, this is a bad design. Why would anyone think it warranted more than 1 star? Tried to grip it, using the toooo shallow indent under the base, and had too much difficulty maintaining my grip (good thing it wasn't fuel). I have a similar one I bought 12 years ago an it works great. So, don't buy it! HOW do they screw up something so important?
We have a permanent camping spot in southern Ohio, and it was such a pain to take down gallons and gallons of our reverse osmosis water from him each weekend. So, she I was offered to try these jugs, I was THRILLED! I can pop one of these in the sink and walk away while it fills with fresh reverse osmosis water from out separate tap. We take them to camp, pop on into our XL cooler packed with ice and other drinks, we put one under the camper for emergencies and use one for cooking! I absolutely love them! With the thick plastic, I know the sun won’t penetrate the bottles. The water never tastes like plastic or anything either! Such an amazing product! Perfect for those die hard campers!!!
Made in Canada has to be a positive for a start. Amazingly strong, excellent screw cap but fiddly with the funnel part inside. Great concept though. The slight down side is the diameter of the cap, a couple of extra millimeters would mean a battery pump could drop inside. All in all a great product and I am nitpicking. I'd buy another tomorrow, or when this one wears our which will be a long time in the future.

The container itself is the same as the older ones and is very nice, but the pressure valve is junk. Well, it's either junk, defective or just a terrible design. They say they're meant to "work" the way they do. If by "work", they mean "not work" then they did a fantastic job, because they don't "work". They neither tighten or loosen. They just hang there there loose and do nothing, but irritate the purchaser. I'll buy another one if and when they stop over-thinking their design. Just make an operable pressure valve that "works" (i.e. tighten and loosens and doesn't leak). Just plain irritating... No leaks, no seam failures and no wear to the actual container. The screw on vent cap screws on by applying pressure to it as you turn it on.
