Petrol Blue is a beautiful bright medium blue color! I thought it would be a little greener, and be a better gradient to 401 Dark Teal, but that wasn't the case for my needs. BUT, this is STILL a gorgeous color, and I will definitely find a way to use this color! This was my first of two orders from YarnAddicted, due to being indecisive of what colors I truly needed for my 'In Bloom CAL', and the shipping came super quick!! The yarn came in great shape, as well as its packaging! Im happy to know I can order from her, when I need an emergency skein of my fave brands yarn, Scheepjes!!
I bought 3 balls of Catona 25 Gram for an amigurumi for my son. Two would have been enough. Even though these are probably the smallest balls of cotton yarn I've ever bought, they are perfectly sized for small projects, I used less than half a ball of the blue for this amigurumi. Working with the yarn was a breeze, no issues with with the ply separating, which can happen with other yarn when working high tension crochet. Love the availability of colors and the fact that I do not have a ginormous amount of left-over yarn taking up space in my yarn drawer. Very good quality!
Loving these Catona yarns for crocheting nursery items. My only complaint is that often the photo suggests a much darker color than in reality (e.g. one I thought was orange turned out to really be more like peach and one I thought was dark gray/charcoal was more medium gray tone). Normal issue buying online and only seeing on a computer screen.
I just got into making amigurumi and I tried several different lightweight cotton yarns, but ended up preferring this. It just seemed to be the exact weight I was looking for and the stitches look nice. I'm working on really small items which is a little challenging, but the yarn is holding up well even when stitching in really tight situations. I love all the colors it comes in! I ended up buying the whole color sampler set after making my first doll, and will definitely be buying more when I run out of colors.
