Both of my younger children (five year old male and three year old female) love playing with dinosaurs, and especially love playing with this Tyrannosaurus rex, from Schleich. I'm actually going to have to get another one of these, so the two stop fighting over this one. My daughters favorite thing about this t-rex is that it's mouth opens and shuts and my son loves it because of it's size and he says, "it's cool." While the price does seem kind of high, the quality is very good!

I got this toy for my dinosaur loving son. He loves this toy so much. He carries it around all day and even sleeps with it. My son loves that the mouth moves to open and close. I love that the toy is heavy and sturdy feeling. Its not flimsy or cheapy made. The toy is pretty decent in size and not heavy that its too much to play with. It also stands on its own very well. Great toy overall!

Both of my boys are obsessed with dinosaurs. I knew this guy would be a fabulous addition to their collection of figurines, books, toys, etc. The T-Rex is detailed and very well made. It has a little heaviness to it, and is definitely not plastic feeling. My boys love that it's red and not the usual earthy tones. A really neat feature is that the mouth opens and it looks extra scary. So, of course, my dino loving boys think that is the best part. We do a dinosaur week in kindergarten. So, I will be able to use it as a visual for our writing piece on describing how it looks. The kids will love it! It is really great replica for play or displaying in your collection.

Purchased this for grandson, age 5, as reward for good behavior as he "learns to share" with younger brother, nearing age two. As with with all figures in this collection, the Red T-Rex is sturdy, well-designed & beautifully painted. We were especially delighted when we first opened the packing box and the youngest boy said "dinosaur roar." This was the first time he uttered a two-word sentence! The older boy was over-joyed to discover the figure's articulated jaw and was quick to point out how detailed the mouth cavity is displaying gums, teeth and tongue. The older boy enjoys sharing his dinosaur knowledge with his younger brother and his parents love these teachable moments.
Got my son the red Tyrannosaurus rex, from Schleich. He loved him! He's a nice size and very well made, I definitely don't have to worry about it breaking, maybe hurting someone if it gets thrown. Has a little weight to him for sure. But no so.much that my son won't play with it. So far it's a great edition to his Dinosaurs!! Very pleased with this guy!!
