60+ year old rider here who is still on 26" as my bike is high quality and see no need to change. Was running IRC Bear Trails yet for the mixed riding that I do now, they were heavy, slow-rolling and have tractor like treads. Wanted new tyres that were more suited for mixed (fire track/canal paths/occasional more serious off-road) and the Nobby Nics reviews summed up my exact needs. Requiring 3 tyre levers to remove the old Bear Trails, the Nobby Nics were a dream to put on, only needing 1 lever and have never known a tyre to mount so easily on my Mavic rims. Both installed in less than 20 minutes including realigning both disc calipers as well! Great Tire - Looks Noice!

I bought these to put on my Kona Explosif that I have modified into a single-speed and upgraded most of the parts. I got these tires because I thought they would look good on the bike and the reviews seemed to indicate that they would be good for the type of riding that I do. I was able to install tubless without much effort at all and the bead set evenly, rolling with virtually no wobble. The tires roll fast on the pavement and hardpack DG, and hook up well in the loose stuff and cornering. I only have about 150 miles on them but they seem to be pretty durable as well. I would recommend for sure.

Great grip, not as aggressive as pics look

I am a fan of Schwalbe tires. Last summer dumped rain all season, and my Hand Dampf rear tire was borderline dangerous on wet rocks/roots. I bought this Nobby Nic for more aggressive treads. They are slightly more pronounced than the Dampfs, but not as big as I hoped. The soft compound is great to take the edge off hits from my carbon hardtail though. I'll try Magic Mary's once these are done.

Great tread but terrible tubeless bead seal
27 September 2016

The tire just won't seal on the rim for a tubeless application. Rode it for 2 weeks and cleaned and redid the sealant process twice with an air compressor and stans with no luck. The tire would loose air pressure with in 30 mins of a ride every time. I switched to a continental tire and it works great with a good seal on the bead. Tried to see if they would let me return the tire because of it and this is what they said:"Hey Dustin, not too sure if this would be a warranty. The Schwalbe tire can be a bit hard to seal up may take a few days to seal fully. This is normal and is not considered a defect by the manufacture. I Know they I have had better luck with the Orange seal brand sealant. It is a bit thicker formual of a sealant."ThanksShawnSo buyer be aware. Can't really rate them lower than 3 stars because they're so cheap, but they suck. I had high hopes for them, but can't find a terrain they're good on. Plusses- they roll fast, and they're light. That's it. Cons- pain to seat tubeless, rode horrible with or without tubes. Grabby and unpredictable on tight hardpack. Never know when they'll catastrophically let loose. Slip badly on dry rock, wet rock, roots, mud, and anything else. Dusty hardpack even makes me nervous. The ride is decent at 20-25 psi, sucks above 30, but at pressures in the 20s they roll badly on my narrow rims and burp in rocks. They're narrow, didn't expect them to fold like that. I just got it
26 October 2022

I always buy this kind of stuff at Amazon, but fortunately, this time I did some research and I got this website. The price is a lot better than Amazon's (25%) even though the shipping was high. The delivery time was slower, but I didn't have a hurry, so was good for me. I haven't mounted the new tire on my bike but looks like everything is good.

Super Sticky-Grippy in a wide range of conditions, but this tire excels in loose conditions like sand and mud.
5 January 2017

The strength of this tire is its ability to perform well in diverse conditions. I rde sand, clay, rock and muddy conditions with confidence on Nobby Nics in FL and NC. Central Fl can be especially sandy at times, yet this tire allows for tight cornering and better speed in loose trail conditions. Even with low to moderate air pressure I do not get tire roll/flex like I did with my prior tires, even weighing 200 pounds on an XL frame.Ultra easy tubeless mounting and sealing makes this a excellent all purpose tire. The tread pattern may be too aggressive for xc racers, or on primarily hard packed surfaces.I would recommend this tire to those that ride in different conditions, especially where added traction is your friend.

Very good Tire Upgrade
16 January 2023

Purchased a set of Schwalbe Nobby Nic to try something different, could have a set of Maxxis Ardent, but I have made my decision gotten 27.5 x 2.35, and there was a typo instead being 2.40. Despite the mix up willing to try them on Front tire installed no problem, the rear was difficult the only possible way to have it seated was valve core removed that resolved.

great gravel and pasture tires!
4 November 2022

I really am pleased with these tires. They roll very well and the traction in the Nebraska dirt is great. I ride pastures and gravel roads. there is intense but short up hills and fast quick down hills in the breaks of south west Nebraska grass lands. I am very pleased. I have them set up tubeless on a 22 27.5 Marin rift zone 2.

not the product on the picture

The picture showed a different product, I haven't tested the quality yet, but receiving a different product is already a disappointment; I hope it does not become a habit from Galaxus, i like the company, but I would rather change if it happens often; plus charging postal fees when the product received is a different one is not right
