Not a bad dye slight blue pigmentation but i tested on a chunk of hair at direction time, had my hair done at hair dressers cost my $310 to walk out with a horrible yellow band about a inch thick this covers the yellow band but make sure if you have this issue apply to roots first leave for 20-25mins then comb through ends and leave for a further 5 as ends tone faster, i definitely reckon to achive silver like the box leave it on for 10-15mins then comb through for a further 5 mins (mid length to ends) first photo of mess from hair dressers, second photo you can see were i tested this dye (front right of pic)

I have used the semi-permanent of this colour a million times. So I thought this would be the same colour only permanent. Oh how wrong I was. I now have mucky blue/grey/green hair! This product is so bad they discontinued it. But they should have recalled it. I wish I read the reviews on the Live Colour website. So bad! Everyone's getting the same results.

The guys at Schwarzkopf are probably laughing their heads off knowing that they sell products that don't work. I bought the same color before but not for permanent effect, which didn't work either even though I did it exactly as described. Then I wanted to give it another try with the permanent one. Mixing the incredients, massaging into hair, wait for 30 minutes, rinse... AND STULL NO DIFFERENCE! 30$ and 2 hours of time wasted for nothing, perfect, well done.

I dye my hair (which is very susceptible to colouring) from a nothing light brown/grey yuck to blonde, however after doing this for some months, my hair turns too light and too orange/brassy. I have tried to tone this down with a mid-ash colour but it looks awful. Having used this dye for three applications it manages to tone down my peroxide too light and too yellow hair to slightly less of both, AS WELL as dying my roots to suit the rest of my hair, which is exactly what I have been looking for all along! Getting the perfect combination of both colours on your hair to achieve exactly 'no' colour ie grey would be a miracle not even the biggest world brands could profess too. So the idea that you can suddenly become 'grey' is kind of a misnomer, you would need to work at the balance of either too yellow or too blue.)
For a more expensive hair dye, I expected some quality, I’ve had bad results from schwarzkopf live colours in the past but this definitely tops it. I expected a silver tone to my hair like it says on the packaging, I had blonde hair before I used this product now I’m stuck with literal blue hair
I wouldn't reccommend this hair dye for your hair if you have dark hair because it doesn't work well.
this does NOT give you the look on box,especially from the pics on box they show you, its not possible. to get that silver grey look you need to bleach hair to a level 9 to 10 and use a TONNER. (and note a tonner is different to a purple or blue shampoo) this was tested on several shades including grey and did nothing. you can not get that look from a box dye.
I usually use the grey swartzkoph live semi. this time I decided to try the permanent. even though my hair isn't long, just below chin length and only average thickness I needed 2 boxes. so luckily because there was a special I had bought 2 boxes. second negative was my hair has a blue tinge to the top half but underneath it is grey just like the box photo. luckily I don't mind the blue and after a couple of weeks I'm sure it will fade. I've added a photo but the blue didn't show in the photo.
I love it, better than toner or blonding shampoo. it's also permanent so works longer
