Doesn't adhere well even after running heat gun over it. Not purchasing again.
I bought this by click and collect based on the description and images of this as Scotch 'Shipping' that's '40x stronger' and 'guaranteed to stay sealed'. The product that was supplied was Scotch Heavy Duty that's '40% stronger'. This product isn't even listed in the online catalogue. When I rang to get the correct item, I was told that this is the correct item with the correct barcode. The description states that it is guaranteed to hold 'even on recycled cardboard'. Yet, I'm finding that it doesn't hold well to standard moving boxes and I still have to ensure that I'm making the taping long enough for it to stick to itself.
I bought this product back in November as a replacement for a product that Officeworks discontinued. While the tape is heavy duty and thick, it does not stick to itself well at all, which is a problem for long distance shipping. So when Scotch say you only need one layer to tape, they mean it. Multi layers or overlaps will not stick to each other well at all. So, it looks like they have economized on the adhesive. I wont be buying this again, and this is the third try at buying a quality tape at Officeworks.
