Bad Choice

This is the smallest roll of tape I have ever seen. I thought it was a mistake when I opened it, and saw a tiny amount of tape on the roll - about the same size as when you think a roll is going to run out and you should buy a new one. The images in the photos are extremely misleading, and look like a normal size roll, but this is very tiny. I wish I had known that they sell very small rolls of tape, as I would have done more research in advance. This is only 8.3 yards, and the same brand sells a role of 12.5 yards for the same price, and a roll of 36 yards for only $1 more! The roll of 36 yards is the standard size, and what I thought I was buying. I have learnt my lesson for next time.

This tape is very good at fixing rips in paper receipts. Use it all the time because somehow my receipts keep getting ripped. The tape is invisible and it is not noticeable when used on paper. The tape also sticks well to the paper. The tape dispenses well and does not get tangled up when cutting it from the dispenser. Also used it in my notebook to tape some handwritten notes and pictures clipped from magazine articles. Scotch Magic tape is good to have on hand and I have a roll on my desk because I use a lot of tape with my art projects and my note taking.

Although you wouldn't think about it? But there is a difference between Scotch tape and other brands on the market? Yes you pay slightly more for Scotch but you get what you pay for believe me. Those cheaper rolls of tape that twist and stick then don't hold those beautifully wrapped presents you took so much trouble folding into place? With this tape you also get the little dispenser? Which saves you having little bits of cheap nasty tape sticking to you arm and back of hand? When you stick the lovely looking wrapped presents down using Scotch? They stay that way until Christmas morning when the wrappings are torn asunder by eager hands? Buy the best it's worth it!

Stick with ScotchScotch Magic Tape is my go-to product for wrapping gifts. I've tried other brands, but the tape usually ends up in a tangled mess. The Scotch Magic Tape dispenser cuts the tape cleanly every time, resulting in much less wasted product. It's also easy to write on without smudging.

Very versatile and strong!

I received a sample of this product from 3M for evaluation. I was able to put it to the test since I recently moved into a new home. Getting things organized in the new home was a bit daunting. I found this tape to be extremely helpful for labeling items. I found it to be superior to other similar tapes in that, if I made a mistake, it easily removed without leaving sticky residue. I also found some 3 hole notebook papers that got torn from their respective binders. By patching the tears with the Scotch Magic Tape and re-punching the papers, I was able to salvage them. Project saved!

Scotch Magic Tape has been my go to tape probably since it has been created. I always have a roll on hand. I prefer the wider 3/4 in size. Through the years I have tried other tapes to save money but I always ended up throwing them out and coming back to this one. I mostly use it for giftwrapping.

what the heck?

I have been using this for YEARS in home/shool office and pretty much everywhere in between. Purchased a 10 pack, maybe 8 months ago. Used 2 rolls then, and no need since then. HOWEVER, now I cannot use any of the remaining rolls.I place roll on support/spinner thingie & into dispenser. Then begins to roll off to one side (getting thinner and thinner), as i'm pulling a piece off. Even if I catch the end before it sticks, it starts right up again, getting thinner until eventually not pulling tape anymore.I have tried: scissors, flat razor, knife anything & everything to get started again. I usually hafta use scissors to cut throught about 10-20 layers, to start a new end. I am now on the last roll in the 10-pack. I've ended up tossing over HALF of product.
