3M sent me this sample tape to review. This is definitely a sturdier tape. It doesn't tear easily, and it has a firm hold. I wouldn't use it as much for a temporary taping situation. If I need to temporarily hold down a craft project consisting of cardstock, it holds so well that it could tear the paper. That said, it is great for children's books when the pages tear. I have not bought double-sided tape in years, but if this were double sided, there are many uses for it when crafting - 3D images with multiple layers.

Previously I used heavy-duty shipping tape to do that, but sometimes that had to be trimmed to make it thinner. This tape serves a similar purpose, but with less effort. Examples include:- Securely taping a package shut.- Securely taping a package shut, so that it is less likely to pop open.- Mending broken items.

This is great tape! There have always been times that I wished tape would hold better and this is just what I needed. It's not so sticky that it sticks to everything (like some package sealing tapes do) but it really holds well. Have you ever wrapped a box with kraft paper or a gift with wrapping paper only to have the tape "pop" and come unstuck and then your wrapping paper looks horrible? This tape just doesn't do that. When you put it on, it holds.
I use decorative gift/treat bags as “envelopes” for greeting cards and personal correspondence. These bags do not have any type of adhesive closure on them. In order to prepare them for mailing through the U.S. Postal system, I use Scotch Super-Hold Tape to securely close them after inserting my greeting card or note. Scotch Super-Hold Tape definitely lives up to it’s name. I have never had any of these make-shift “envelopes” get damaged by any postal sorting machines. The Scotch Super-Hold Tape keeps the contents of the “envelope” safe and secure. I received the product free from 3M.
I received the product free from 3M. I am impressed with the strong hold, moisture resistant and the way it sticks to a lot of different surfaces. I used it to secure large mailing envelopes that I want to be secure. I also used it to laminate small personal documents that I want to protect from falling apart. It’s incredibly versatile and useful in so many different ways. Just use your imagination when using the Scotch Super Hold Tape.

I received from 3M a free sample of Scotch® Super-Hold Tape Dispensered Roll. I used this tape to attached my poster for my club booth at a fair to the freezer. This sat outside under a shelter in 100 degree weather on an applicance for 4 days. It stay in place after being bumped several times. This is great and it came off with out leaving any residue on the freezer. When trying to peel the tape off the poster it was still sticky but came off. I also used this tape to put together a vinyl folder that had tore at the seam. It went on easy and is holding great even though it's pulled out of a file or drawer multiple times a week.
I received this product free from 3M. I first applied Scotch Super-Hold tape to a heavy cardboard mailer. The tape pulls easily from the dispenser and cuts cleanly. It is clear in color and dispenser cuts tape sections cleanly with no tearing. The weight of the tape (not too flimsy) made it easy to apply. I additionally used the Scotch Super-Hold to construct a small lightweight cardboard project. The tape was easy to affix and readjust position before final application. I highly recommend this tape for both craft projects and general tasks requiring a strong hold.
Note: I got a free roll of tape to review, but did not get any incentive to write this review.I tried two difficult repairs and the tape worked very well.I have several prescription bottles where the labels keep coming off where regular tape didn't stick very well. I also taped the cover of a paperback book that was coming apart. The tape stuck nicely and I hope it will stay stuck in the future.The tape certainly is sticky but it also seemed thicker than usual tapes, so it was very easy to work with — it didn't stick to itself when I was applying the tape.I definitely will keep a roll of this tape on hand to use in the future.
