Or least hire someone who knows what to test for...the only question I have is where do I send this bill? For all the labor it took to pull this junk off. Tape tips every few inches. Learn something from frog tape would yuh!!!

Felt compelled to take the time to review painters tape as this is the most ineffective product. Bought because the store was out of our normal green tape and the clean up from the damage from the tape took more time than painting the walls. It peeled the existing paint, so much it left damaged drywall. Conversely some how, the tape did not stick to the edge of the moulding bleeding the paint underneath. Super sloppy and better to just attempt free hand with a toddler

I wish I read the other reviews first. Used all Benjamin Moore paint. Two coats of primer, two coats of paint. Let the ceiling dry two weeks than taped it to paint the walls. Tape was up less than 5 days. Every single piece of tape I pulled off took paint off the ceiling. Instead of being near completion, I now have hours of work to skim a band around the edge of my ceiling, prime it, then paint it. I would have been better off not using any tape than using this product. It’s absolute garbage. If anyone is reading this, save yourself time and money and buy something else, anything else (or don’t tape at all - even that will be better than using this junk).
Worst painters tape I've ever used. Peeled off paint and even drywall paper off of both freshly painted (over 24 hour dry time) and walls that had been primed and painted for over a year. Will have to redo the entire room but with frig tape this time.
I got this Scoth blue tape # 2090 from Home Depot recently and put on a wall to cover the existing semi-gloss paint to caulk the edge, when I peel off the blue tape, it took my existing wall color off(the existing paint color on the wall completely dried and over 1 year. It is kind of disappointed, I use the blue tape over a decade, it never happened before.
I bought this a few months ago and go to use it and I can't even peel the full width without it tearing! Sometimes it tears an 1/8" wide before I can lift more of the edge up. My finger nails can't even grab it right. Read the reviews and I don't think this one was a dud. Sounds like quality has changed. I will be going back to Frog Tape.
This is the worse painting tape I've ever used. Lifted the paint off both the walls and the newly painted edge. Plus The primer leaked under the tape. I spent so much time painting this area and being so careful and now everything looks like a kid painted.
