So far working good. The 91 octane tune feels like it has more torque in the lower gears more so than the 93 tune. Still messing with it. Didn't try the 87 tune yet. 93 is probably just performance and when I towed my camper with it, Didn't feel like enough in the low end. We will see I'm liking the tuner and the fact you can save 10 custom tunes. Not that I need that many but you can figure out the ones you like.Realtruck super fast delivery was great. It does what they've done for years. You can marry and unmarry to vehicle, add and remove tunes, read and clear codes and do a little bit of data logging. Not fancy in terms of capability. These things have always been purposefully overpriced and I've always resented it and still do. The value comes in the tuning file itself, not the tuner, really. These are just a necessary evil.

Now dont buy this thing used on the web site because its gonna be married to someone else truck so some one bought this thing returned now american trucks sales it with like a 50 percent discount but you have to buy the unlock on sct wich is 200 dlls so at the end of the day you do not save any money so just save your time and buy it new. I wish american trucks would say something on the description about this when i bought it used.

2012 F150 3.5 EcoBoost bone stock other than this tune- I've had this only a couple days. I had some challenges getting the device updater software to work. This combined with the performance improvement of the lowest tune is reason enough for me to give this a 5 star rating....BUT...I ordered an MPT tune and it was delivered very timely. I loaded it to the device with seemingly no problem. When I went to my truck and plugged it in, I now have the same communication error that stuck the device before. So now I have to commit another 2 hours of time between 9-6 EST M-F to get this resolved with SCT. I have no doubt that they will fix it once I get a rep. But for the time I've spent getting this tuner to work, I feel like they owe me money. And by the way I'm very capable with computers and know what to expect. Thus I'm giving an overall rating of 4 stars. But, I would say the tunes themselves are worthy of a 5 for a relatively easy and cheap bang for the buck performance upgrade. And I'm looking very forward to trying out the higher tunes.
Vehicle specific tune really wakes it up. Can go from mild to wild with chosen file providers. Must buy a specific file for your vehicle. I cannot give more stars as only support on 5 vehicles total then unusable, unit becomes "locked" to one vehicle, and if for some reason (me) when returning to stock there is an error it costs $150. to "unlock" if you no longer have the vehicle. The User cannot change these built-in software limitations. Still, for $500. it is the cheapest, safest, fastest way to gain impressive horsepower and torque.
I guess everyone leaving high marks for this tuner has very little expectations for their money. Or they don't care. I went and purchased this tuner not knowing much about tuners because it is portrayed as "the one" to get. I am very dissatisfied with it. For $400 I expect multiple part upgrade options and to be able to fine tune the wheel size to get my speedometer dead on. Neither exist in this tuner. There is 1 option for a cold air intake and 2 options for exhaust for my 2013 3.5 Ecoboost FX4. That is it. I don't care about making the transmission shift later or adjusting computer controlled spark. Also the display is small and if you wanted to mount it, it looks oddly shaped and is hard to read. I bought this tuner thinking that it was going to be great, and well it's just ok. It feels kind of cheap. Setup is fairly easy, it will need updated when you first use it. Takes about 10-15 mins to upload a tune. Mine came with 3 stock tunes. You can leave it plugged in and run with it, but if you want to change a tune you can not do it on the fly. Truck must be OFF and you have to go through the steps. You can change the color of the background and highlight color. Has day and night time brightness adjustment. Will give you up to 10 different gauges to look at while it's connected. I can see a bit more power with the 93 tune. 87 tune is almost none existant. Overall it's decent.
