I received this Sculpey oven-bake clay succulent pots kit from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion and review. This is not a brand I had heard of before or seen in stores. It's super easy to use and was great for me and my kiddos as beginners to polymer clay. Everything you need, other than the oven, baking sheet, and wax paper, is in the kit. Simple and easy to execute project directions, even for my 8 year old. I do think that for both projects, there isn't quite enough clay. Added bonus that the clay doesn't dry out until baked. I'd recommend this to beginners who love to be creative and are looking for a relatively simple project.

I tried this kit with my 10yr old daughter and we really enjoyed it! The instructions were clear on the two ways to make the pots. It was a bit difficult for my daughter to mold at first as the clay isnât super playable out of the box. However, she successfully completed her pot and added the polka dots with minimal assistance. I even used left over clay to make a cat. I started with 20min in the oven and then added five minutes every time I checked after. It only took 30 minutes for desired consistency.
This clay kit was so fun! I made 3 smaller succulent pots out of the kit and didnât do the two designs included. I had seen another kit that was terrazzo and did my best but they still came out cute. Iâd suggest putting a drainage hole on the bottom and also adding some feet to it. I would definitely buy other kits because itâs nice that everything was included and it didnât require a lot of time or effort.
Ours didnât come out the cutest and thatâs okay! My toddler loved doing this activity and kept asking to do more! Her only complaint is there were no red or pink colors. The product held up well, i was a bit skeptical it wouldnât be sturdy enough since we made it so thin.

I followed all the instructions. I was confused at first. I decided to use both bricks of white clay together. The cutting too was not the best and the pieces I cut looked nothing like in the photo. The color transfer on dry hands wasnât bad. The instructions and pictures make me thing the pots would come out bigger but if I just used one white brick it wouldâve made nothing anything could fit inside. So I made this. Baking was easy. I was underwhelmed. I feel like this is good for a middle school or older elementary school aged child.
