I use this product for a lot of caning that goes into mounting clock faces, special pieces of jewelry that need to be sanded down, geez, clay building, caned bowls, I just go crazy with an electric pasta machine as a clay press. I love the easier to soften formula, that is saving my hands. The dye however is so strong that I would suggest caution while building! Doesn't come out of fabric!

This product works well whether you placing it in a mold or running through a pasta maker to get a uniform thinkness. Different colors can be pressed together before running it through the pasta maker. It looks fantastic and is easy to cut out designs. The 'firing' process is easy. I actually use a toaster oven in my art studio.

I purchased a variety of colors for my first ever Sculpey projects. The colors were accurate and bright. Baking was easy and I've had no issues with my creations! I even purchased additional colors at my local Blick store since I was making so many things.#sweepstakes
I use Sculpey III to make my Whimsicans! I started a little over a year ago and I am very pleased with Sculpey III's performance in my craft. I appreciate all the different colors that it comes in. But it blends well when I want something a little different. The baking is very uniform and I don't have a problem with cracking
I bought the Sculpey III clay for making clay figures - 1/12 scale realistic human sculptures. Well, almost human - I'm sculpting fairies with realistic but quite thin human characteristics. This is the first polymer clay I have used, so I am still learning how to use it. The Sculpey III clay is a little soft and sticky for such small figures, but I can still make it work.I got a great price (best on the internet - on ten 1-lb and six 2-oz packages) at Dick Blick, and I hope I can get it again for more clay later. The clay arrived in perfect condition (no heat damage), so I am totally pleased.
The Sculpey III worked very well with our Arts Alive (Summer Day Camp) kids. I had 1st and 2nd graders using the product to create a flower pendant and on a later day a marbleized bead. Once the "clay" had been worked a bit it, moulded easily into the shapes the students intended. Later the Sculpey 'baked' nicely and the kids were very pleased with the final product.Several adult volunteeres like th project enough they asked for a sample to try with their kids or grandchildren.
I've bought Sculpey elsewhere and and when it came it was past its sell-by date, dried out and impossible to use. Blick's is always fresh. Came fast, too!
I bought these sets for my students grades 2-5. The kids loved the colors and the value is good. Once the product is worked is starts to get soft from warm hands. I would prefer a product that stays more stiff. We made mille fiori canes and shaped each slice into hearts. The colors bled into the white a little. It bakes easily. Overall this is a good product so I am definitely using it again. And I will buy more sets for future projects because the color selection is nice.
This is a great product and I definitely recommend it! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because when you bake it you have to be very careful with it because it's fragile. I bought a couple of these to try because I have never used them before and I needed a oven bake clay with a wide option of colors. I realized after I baked a small pendent that unless you are super careful, you shouldn't use this product for jewelry unless you have a metal base. Shortly after I made the necklace in the picture it's horn fell off which is a huge disappointment.
