Sea to Summit 1.2L Alpha Pot

Designed to add functional performance to your backcountry camp kitchen, the Alpha Pot is a strong and lightweight cook system ideal for solo or group use. Constructed from a hard anodized alloy, it is durable, abrasion-resistant and very easy-to-clean. Some clever technology has been incorporated, like the Pivot-Lock handle that securely locks into place during use and folds away when stored, a unique slotted strainer pattern for easy flow, and a silicone Lid Keep which hooks to the side of the pot when cooking. Delta Light dinnerware is compatible with Alpha Pots and nests inside to create a compact and comprehensive camp kitchen set. FEATURES Lightweight, hard anodized alloy. Large internal radius between base and sidewall makes the pot easy to clean. Graded volumetric scale on the side of the pot makes for easy measurement. Textured base for better stability on camp stoves.

1.2 liter - solid construction but a bit unstable.

Great quality and rock solid construction. It would have been nice if this was sized tall enough to fit a 220g fuel canister inside. The very rounded edges around the bottom make cleanup easy and likely allows for good heat conduction. Unfortunately, with that detail and the relatively heavy handle the pot can tip over when it's empty if not well supported on the handle side - not good when you're trying to fill it.

I have been searching for years to find the right pot that was the perfect combination of lightweight, durable, packable, and with enough volume to hold a small canister of fuel, my pocket rocket stove, and my cup/bowl. Search is over. This pot is perfect. Do yourselves a favor and buy this for ultra lightweight packing. The bigger sizes will be great for regular camping, but this is perfect if you're going back country and need to save every ounce.

Everything sticks
22 September 2022

This is good for boiling water, that’s about it. Everything and anything sticks to this and it’s hard to scrape off. I wouldn’t even buy this just to boil water. Your better off getting a pot you can boil water AND cook in.

Good size
5 August 2022

Handle lock was very stiff at first, eventually got so that I could lock it in place for cooking. Maybe I’ve got weak thumbs. 😄 Handle pivots to hold lid in place after cooking. Cleans up great. Good size for 1, maybe 2 hikers. Fit my canister, ultralight stove (pocket rocket 2), and canister support inside.

Great Camping Pot!
25 June 2021

Great camping pot! Loved the locking handle and the ability to set the lid on the side of the pot. It is a little bigger than your typical small backpacking camp stove, so make sure it's centered well, or it may tip over (or just get a bigger backpacking stove, which is likely in my future). Heats up VERY quickly too!

Great addition to the 2.0 set
9 June 2021

I bought this to add to the 2.0 set. The 2.0 set nests inside the 3.7L pot perfectly. The addition of the 3.7 allows me to adjust what I take on my trip according to the number of people. The pot is light weight and very well built. And the folding/locking handle is a great feature.

Great product with 1 design flaw
17 July 2022

This pot seems great--it is insanely lightweight and seems like a sturdy design. However...it has one big flaw. You can't fit ANY size fuel canister inside it--it's too low. Because of this, it makes it next to impossible to next your backpacking cookset in an organized way. I'll be returning as it this is a deal-breaker for me. It also seems to dent easily, as mine arrived with a small dent in it. I was also a little bummed it doesn't come with a stuff sack to keep it from getting scratched.

I would not buy this again
29 July 2022

Not very nonstick at all. Unbalanced when the handle is out and its empty or just small amounts in the top. It will tip over.Light, and holds other cooking essentials.

great sized pot
28 April 2021

I recently replaced cooking equipment purchased in the 90's with this pot. I can fit my msr whisperlight international and cooking utensils inside. Specifically why I went with this size pot. Water boils very fast and it can be used as a cup or dinner bowl. Lid stays attached when stored due to the handle unlocking and covering the top. So far it staying in my backpacking lineup.
