Sea to Summit Alpha Pot Cook Set - 1.1

The Sea to Summit Alpha Cookware started with the desire to create an extremely lightweight, high-quality cooking system without compromising on durability or functionality. Both the Alpha Pans and Alpha Pots are made of a high spec hard anodised premium alloy, allowing them to be thinner and lighter but still extremely strong and durable. A sandblasted base adds texture making them more stable on a camp stove. The space-saving DeltaLight Bowls and Insul Mugs conveniently nest inside the Alpha Pots, providing generously sized and functional one, two and four person sets. Made with BPA-free, glass reinforced polypropylene, the DeltaLight Bowls and Insul Mugs are lightweight, durable, easy-care, microwave and dishwasher safe. Pivoting on a single horizontal axis, the Pivot-Lock handle on the Alpha Pot locks firmly in place when cooking giving a secure grip with no danger of the handle collapsing. When not in use, the Pivot-Lock handle rotates inward and locks the lid and nested contents securely in place. The Alpha Pot lid also features an easy flow strainer as well as the patent pending Lid Keep – an innovative design allowing the Alpha Pot lid to hook to the pot rim keeping it out of the dirt and giving you the ability to use both hands for other tasks. From extreme expeditions to family camping, the versatile and compact Alpha series is ideal for all outdoor adventures. The Alpha Set 1.1 includes: one 1.2L Alpha Pot, one 800ml Deltalight Bowl, and one 350ml Deltalite Insul Mug.

Good size for one person. Very light and insulated mug and bowl work great. Handle is a bit hard to snap in but overall a good compact set.

Great quality and well thought out

Like!!

I like that the pot is wider and shallower than many others, it seems this helps to boil water more quickly than the taller, narrower designs. However, this also means not as much nests inside it...like a fuel canister. LOVE the lid strainer!! The cup is a little smaller than I like for my morning coffee, but nice tightly fitting silicone lid.

Looks good with a few limitations.

I have only used the pot to boil water thus far. I have not used the cup. The bowl is nice and deep and looks sturdy. The lid of the cup is very fussy to put on and if the cup contained hot liquid it would be difficult to do so without spilling. As for the pot, it is nice and light and the handle locking mechanism looks robust. The pot is decidedly top-heavy with the handle extended and it empty it will fall off of most stoves. This might not be a huge problem because presumably you would have something in the pot when on a stove. But is would be difficult to keep an empty pot balanced on a stove top if you planned to pour water into it. You would need to keep a hand on it. And after emptying the pot it would be prone to tip over with the handle extended. Overall I ... MoreI have only used the pot to boil water thus far. I have not used the cup. Love the products

All of the cookware is extremely durable and lightweight. The cook pot heats up and cools off quickly for efficient use. All items are super easy to clean. The pot has really practical features.

Love this light weight cook set!
31 August 2018

I was in the market for a new solo cook set and wanted to try out Sea to Summit's Alpha. Love it thus far! It's lightweight and packs down well like most cook sets, but what I really like is the handle that pivots on the side to lock the top down versus handles that pivot on the top. This might not actually be the case, but it feels more secure. Overall, very happy with this cook set, no issues thus far.

Nice and light
19 August 2018

I love how light the set is, however I bought it so I could also have a cup with a lid, but I found the lid very difficult to put on and so don't even use it. I like that the pot handle folds up very neatly, but I sometimes struggle to lock it in place. It seems to need an excessive amount of force.

Ruined by one flaw
25 July 2022

I almost loved it so much - absolutely perfect setup for the solo backpacker wanting a warm meal and beverage after a long day of climbing in cool weather. It was ruined by the way the handle hinges. It clicks into place and is very secure - so secure it was a near impossible struggle to get the thing open and closed. The way I had to twist and pull was warping the handle and I could tell it would become too disformed to use relatively quickly so I ended up returning it. Such a shame, it was otherwise perfect. I hope mine was a lemon.

Useless
5 April 2021

The bowl and cup are useless. I took them out a couple of times and preferred almost any other cup and bowl. The pot was great for a while. On my last trip the handle latch melted, and I can no longer close the handle. So now it it useless as well. Not sure how it melted as I was using it on the same stove I have used it on 20 times before.
