I was a bit nervous using an air mattress as a sleeping pad on a cold night, but the closed cell foam completely insulates your body from the ground exactly as described. And, as an air mattress, this pad is more comfortable than others because it lifts your body off the ground, providing a nice buffer against any stones or roots. When using, it will fill itself to mostly full, and only requires a few puffs to find the right level of comfort. The mattress is a bit bulky and heavy, so it works best when your car is closeby and handy. I would buy this one again!

Bought this about two years ago but never used it heavy until this year. It may be fine for car camping or a cot but not for heavy outdoor use. Material is too thin , developed a few leaks and was not able to seal them, even though I followed directions to the letter. Would not recommend for heavy use, guess it's back to sleeping on mule pads until I can find something that works.

My wife and I were looking for a double sleeping mat for our camping trip. we want something that is very comfortable warm and lightweight. This self-inflating sleeping mat is light enough to carry on an easy portage trip and it's very thick therefore it kept us very warm from the ground. The quality is well-built and feels very smooth. if you want to feel like sleeping on a mattress during camping this is the product
First, took this out this weekend to the Latimer Boy Scout Reservation. Temperature dropped to 18 degrees and i never felt it. I had a good sleeping bad with a liner but the mattress pad kept the cold off my back. Do not kid yourself this is a heavy item but worth its weight in gold. Also, this is my second pad after the had a problem and the company's customer service was excellent. I have bought several more items lately (including the liner) because of they stood behind their products.
This is such a great sleeping pad - not your average light camping gear but will definitely give you a good night’s sleep. I love the fact it’s self inflating - this is really helpful when setting up camp, one less thing to worry about. Well made, and top of its class. Can’t ask for a better sleeping pad.
We purchased the double pad before our first child joined us. I was a little worried the pad would be hard to roll up and its size. Both of those fears are not a problem and I find rolling up the mat only takes to rolls. I fold it in half (with both valves open) I roll most of the air out. Close both valves and then unroll it and stretch the pad (still fold in half along its length) out a little and roll it up again once I get near the end I open one of the valves. Finish with squeezing the last of the air out and closing the valve and slide easily into the bag. There have been a couple of nights we have been to lazy to inflate it the whole way and it is still pretty good.
Used this during the Rebelle Rally for 8 nights of camping after long days of driving. This sleeping pad was absolutely perfect! It is incredibly comfortable. My team mate and I both used one, we both like our mattresses at different comfort levels, and the ability to adjust the firmness is amazing. They are super warm as well. Neither of us were cold with a 50F bag and liner with this sleeping pad.It does take a while to fully inflate. I recommend blowing up at home and leaving it inflated for 2-3 days before using. Just used these at King of The Hammers, actually borrowed from a friend. The nights were around 26-28 F and these worked perfectly! My husband and I have a queen sleeping bag. I was concerned the pads would slide apart at night since we didn’t strap them together, but we had no problems! My husband moves around a lot at night, so odds of them sliding would be high. They stayed perfectly together though. The kept us extremely warm. In fact, the part of my body that was towards the mat was warmer much warmer than what just had the bag. I don’t know how else to say it, but this air mattress is seriously amazing. The foam was startling.I’m used to sleeping on pure air-mattresses, but this one with the foam and air was like nothing I’ve experienced before. It was easy to set up and easy to pack down… I car camp, so I can’t really talk about its trekkability, but I can say without a doubt it’ll always be in the trunk.
