We already have compression sacks for our sleeping bags to go backpacking but we wanted the eVent Compression Dry sack specifically for overnight kayaking trips. According to SeaToSummit’s size Guide, the M/14-litre sack is sufficient for a mid-range three-seaons sleeping bag and the L/20-litre is for a three-season synthetic sleeping bag plus a liner. We found that the 14-litre sack is a tight fit for our three-season down sleeping bag with little head room left. We opted for the 20-litre sack for easy stuffing of the sleeping bag and the extra room for additional items that we want to keep dry.

I love this compression dry sack. Really helps me cut down on space. Slightly heavier than some standard dry bags, but I use this for emergency warm clothing I need to carry but likely won't need or for overnight hikes up a mountain where I will need warm bulkiy clothes. I also use one for my sleeping bag. They really ckmpress well ans much more than trying to get the same compression from a standard dry bag. The extra weight isn't as much as having to carry a bigger pack. And they really work well to keep stuff dry as well as using minimal space.

This is exactly what is advertised…a lightweight compression sack that offers protection from the elements. If you’re looking to save space by compressing your clothing or gear (for example a sleeping bag) while keeping it dry then this dry sack is what you need. Personally I wouldn’t use this sack on it’s own to be carried around with other gear but rather I feel it’s meant to be packed into a backpack or other pack. It’s also easy to use and takes little space and again it’s lightweight so no worries about adding weight.

This was the second 20L S2S compression sack I've ordered. While my package got lost in the mail, I'm still writing this review because this is truly a great product. I was able to fit an entire weeks worth of clothing including bulky sweat pants and fleece sweaters in here and have it all compressed down to the size of a soccer/basketball. I take it with me camping all the time whether it's car camping, back country, or canoe trips. I previously had a pack that was over 20 years old and whenever it rained, the rain soaked through my pack but never through this dry sack. Very durable, very reliable, good size.
I have walked the Camino Frances and Camino Norte with these bags and they are awesome! They keep my belongings dry and compressed saving me a lot of room in my pack. After two Caminos, the bags are holding up great and I know they will last another Camino and then some. They are light weight and I highly recommend them. I have ordered new ones but I will use the old set until they fall apart. I use the large sized bags which work great for me, I would rather have more room and not need it than need it and not have it.
Sea To Summit is the name in the game of stuff sacks and other fun bits and bobs for camping. This eVent Compression Dry Sack is right up there with the best of the them. I recently used the sack to stuff and compress my Western Mountaineering Summerlite bag on a bike tour and it worked great. I have the 10L sack but could have gotten away with the 6L. It's easy to use and helped me make some more room in my bags. Cool :^)
Great compression sack. Fits a North Face 800 down jacket and Millet down pants. Also fits A heavy Berber fleece Patagonia jacket and a pair of ski type gloves with long gauntlet. One of the best parts of the transaction was not getting lured in by a low price and then paying super high shipping to make up for it. Great price, fair shipping.
I bought this a couple weeks ago. I ordered a large, and my sleeping bag is a regular sized sleeping bag. This compression sack was way too small for a normal size sleeping bag. I sent it back so I can reorder an XL. It seemed to be high quality and really light weight. I tried for 10 minutes to study my sleeping bag with no avail, but the compression sack didnt budge so its definitely a tough product.
These are the best for backpacking. I have 4 of these now and they are perfect. Compress anything also water proof during my hikes in rain (all my stuff stayed dry each time) and very good quality. I have over stuffed a few things in past and the stitching and material has never torn or been destroyed.Comes in all sizes which is perfect for clothes, sleeping bags, tents… etc etc
These sacks are amazing. You can really pack things small with them. Used it on a bikepacking trip in Patagonia and strapped one of them on the handlebar and another on the rear rack. Even on a fully rainy day (and you know how it is in Patagonia) and none of my gear got wet. It was definitely a great alternative to bulky saddle bags. However, after using it for about a month I had some inevitable wears on them, they were still super functional but I just wished they had a more durable version. And actually saw the new HD version, great news.
