This is obvious but the pot will tip over if it’s empty and has its handle on. It’s not the lightest option but it is big enough to place a 3.9oz fuel canister along with my MSR Pocket Rocket Deluxe and a handkerchief; plus, it’s not prone to denting like other, lighter pots.

The single hole in the lid across from the strainer looks like it should be a pour spout. Do not try to use it as a pour spout! Water will leak from under the lid and go everywhere, no matter how tightly you hold it closed. I bought this pot because of that spout and it is useless.There is no rattle for small movements when the pot is closed.The handle and handle mount are too heavy to be a great backpacking pot and the handle is too wobbly to be a great car camping pot (or in my case used on a boat).Overall this pot is good enough to keep, but not great.

I’m now returning my second Frontier Ultralight Pot for QC issues out of the box, the first came with a dent on the inside and the second came with small raised bubbles of non stick coating on the inside. Pretty clear they aren’t doing any kind of final QC before these leave the factory. The new handle system seems functional enough though if you aren’t paying enough attention and don’t fully insert it until you hear the click, the pot will literally just fall when you pick it up. I want to like this product and have liked other Sea to Summit products before but I’m not bothering with another one of these.

This is a nice pot, and we gave it a try over an open flame here at home while grilling, by boiling some small ears of corn in it. It seems durable enough and would certainly be portable enough to pack for a camping trip. It washed up well, though to be fair, we’ve also not dirtied it too much yet either. I’m not one to cook anything very messy while on the go, so this is pretty perfect. 4 stars due to cost and inability to tell how well it will hold up over time. Give it a year or two and if it’s still kicking, we’ll call it a 5!
This is the perfect pot for camping. It’s super light weight and handle can be taken off for easy transportation and storage. The capacity is just right for a pot of instant noodles or hot soup. The heat transfer is also very effective. The non-stick coating works very well. It’s time to retire my old camping pot.
This is a very well made and well thought out pot. Super durable. Compact so extremely portable and not heavy. Love the versatility. You can strain also. The material distributes heat perfectly. At first could not figure out how to open, but once I was able to figure it out it was super easy.
Pretty impressive little pot! It’s light weight and compact making it easy for pack and go when hiking or camping. With a movable handle and a lid with drainage holes this makes for a pretty handy utensil. Although I had a little trouble with the locking mechanism I loved the pot overall for cooking outside!
