The Ultra-Sil Dry Bag won the sought-after Backpacker Editors' Choice award in 2006 and remains the ideal dry bag for backpacking and travel. Made with lightweight, waterproof bluesign approved 30D Ultra-Sil fabric featuring Cordura yarns, it's the perfect choice to organize your gear inside your backpack or duffle like a pro. The semi-translucent fabric makes it’s easy to see what’s in each dry bag. Other features include a non-wicking hypalon roll-top closure, an oval base to prevent the dry bag from rolling away on sloped surfaces and taped seams to keep moisture out. An excellent choice for lightweight backpacking, cycle touring and travel.

These Ultra Sil dry sacks are lightweight and very robust. Not as light as the Nano’s but far from heavy. I’ve used these bags to keep my stuff dry in my backpack and they work!! Waaaaay better than plastic zipper bags and plastic trash bags. I bought several different sizes in different colors to help organize my gear better. No regrets here. Highly recommend these dry sacks.

I now use this as my main interior sack instead of a pack liner. It's not only useful to stay organized, but it's so much better than using the noisy plastic pack liner, especially when you are packing up and getting out of camp quietly. It's much faster compared to struggling with a plastic pack liner too, as the ultra sil just slips right into my 55L backpack easily. The dry sack does exactly what it does, and I haven't had an issue with moisture leaking inside.

HEADS UP - this isn't the kindest review courtesy of my lack of sleep. I hope this comes as helpful critique that ensures the future implementation of customer design is the highest quality possible but I'm sure with my current position and short fuse this is going to be a rough read. After 6 nights on this pad I hate this product and cannot stand to take it on the AT or any future adventure. I know y'all put great effort into the engineering but by God this is the worst mat I've ever slept on. I prefer to sleep on the tent floor. The sheer noise it makes was enough to have woken up my fellow campers and the lack of traction on it creates such an uncomfortable balancing act just to stay onboard the mat I felt I was riding a lubed up surfboard on a gliding magic ... I purchased the 20 liter dry sac as bag liner for my 40 ultimate Direction Fast Pack. Given the wt and durability this is a great option for pro texting items inside the pack for 4-5 day excursions during a fast pack trip or even a 100 mile race. The peace of mind knowing your gear is safe inside like sleep system and electronics “power bank” are a game changer. I did try polycro bag liner a bit to fragile for me. Over all happy with the purchase and would buy again and recommend for UL packing.
These bags are extremely light weight, durable, and fully functional. Used two of the 13L on recent 12 day backpacking trip in the Rockies. We only had rain for a total of about 20 hours. (typical afternoon storms). I used one for my two man backpacking tent strapped to the outside of my Atmos 65 backpack, and the other for my spare clothes inside the pack. Neither got wet while inside these bags!! I love how the bag sides cling together as you compress it down making for a tight water proof seal as you roll it down and buckle together. New replaceable buckles will make it easy to repair if one breaks--not an issue on this trip. Great super light weight bags. Will get more of different sizes and colors. Great selection!
Just The bags I needed. I warm planning on using the 35L bags for my zero degree down quilts as emergency bag in my truck along with gloves matches beanie, ect.I bought some smaller bags with emergency gear in mind.I will setup with At least 2 bags for emergencies,. I figure a larger bag is easier to find In an emergency and the orange bags I have purchased are for the reasons and they are waterproof. Thanks Sea to Summit
These dry sacks are perfect for backpacking! I keep my clothes in one, my sleeping bag in another and my food in a 3rd. This eliminates the need for the annoying pack cover. And when push comes to shove, I can toss my electronics ie phone, battery pack, headphones etc into the food bag if it rains. I own several in various sizes and they’ve always been clutch.
This is one of the first Sea to Summit items I owned, it turned me on to S2S dry bags for life! The tradeoff of this bag being so lightweight is that it is not fully waterproof. Testing by submersing it resulted in some moisture inside. Which is fine and expected, a better use is using it to store a phone (inside a pack) during rain.I use it now to house my first aid kit. As a trip organizer, I am always passing the kit around to share moleskin or bandaids, and it has stood up to that wear and tear really well. The bright green color makes it easy to spot, and the small 8 liter size fits perfectly in the cap of my pack so it is easy to grab. For a short period of time, I used this bag as a snack bag, but this bag does not a D ring to hang it. The 8 liter size is small enough that a carabiner can be clipped through the folded over section without weight being an issue. I would be hesitant to hang much weight in the larger ultra-sil dry sacks... The lightweight dry sacks are a better option if you are looking for something to hang with.
Needed a light weight 35L dry sack as a pack liner. The ultra-sil dry sack fit just right in my Blaze 60 pack. All my gear fits with extra room. The dry sacks arrived quickly and in great condition. Highly recommend them.
These sacks are the best! I only use Sea to Summit stuff sacks and dry sacks. I've not found another brand of sacks that are any where close to as reliable and well made. The Ultra-Sil dry sacks are fantastic for backpacking. I use them for storing electronics, storing my tent, storing clothes, storing and hanging food, basically for everything. If you're looking for an ultralight, durable, and reliable dry sack, you cannot go wrong with these sacks!
