I really like the Watercell X 6L as the Goldilocks size for any camping outing and especially canoe trips. My other water containers are hard plastic so I appreciate the space savings of a quality collapsible water bag. The rugged build is essential as I use it on river canoe trips including badlands and canyon country, where abrasives abound and drinking water is precious. The cap design and included shower nozzle is brilliant.

I haven't drank the water so I hope the taste people have commented on clears. I bought for my campervan to use as I don't have any other water tank on board. I will use when travelling remote and need more water. I have a sea to summit water tap 10 and 6ltr which I have used for drinking. I have the 6ltr hanging in the van and the 10ltr hanging outside. The water tastes good and the tap works better on the water tap but the water cell holds more and sits well when full, fold flat so it's great to store for when extra water needs to be carried. I'm quite impressed with sea to summit, also with Snowys (great service).

I WISH I could give this 5 stars, because I absolutely LOVE all of the features the watercell X has. Dimensionally, its perfect, It fits in my pack perfectly when it's full. Its easy to fill, its easy to use. I took it on a week long hiking excursion and used it daily for mine and my dogs water. The shower head is perfect, the valve on the lid works great and I don't worry about it leaking. The only time it leaked was when the threads came a smige loose while twisting open the valve. The 1 and only complaint I have is the handle on the top of the face near the cap - came off from the bag. I usually fill it holding on to it with both hands, but the one and only time I only had 1 hand on it, the handle ripped off. The Watercell X isn't leaking because of it which is ... I have messaged S2S about the issue but haven't heard back yet (its only been a week, im sure they're slammed)Otherwise, looking at/holding the 4L watercell x you wouldn't think it would hold a full gallon of water but it does, the space is phenomenal.I have quite a few sea2summit products and love all of them, I recommend s2s to anyone interested in backpacking or camping

I had reviewed previously mentioning the damage that happened to my first S2S watercell X and almost immediately after I posted my review - sea to summit got back to me and sent me out a brand new watercell X which I have been using daily since then (been several months, no idea how long, time isn't real) I learned from my first watercell that as long as you don't over tighten the lid you'll never have to worry about leaks, this this is water tight. I had a plasticy taste the first several times using it but it went away after a few good washes. The reason I wish I could give this more than 5 stars is because someone from sea 2 summit called me today (I wish I could remember his name, he had an awesome accent though) because he had saw my review and wanted to make ... That right there is astronomical. One thing I would absolutely love to see (or figure out how to make) is some kind of coupler / adapter to set up a Watercell with a gravity filter. Yall don't even have to pay me for the idea when it gets huge just kick me some gear :pThanks for being so awesome, Sea to summit
I currently own many hydration/reservoir packs (for hiking/backpacking) and found myself needing to fill multiple packs to cover the need for family day trips outdoors. I purchased the 6L & 20L for flexible options that would cover our small or large number of family/friends joining us for our frequent trips to the creek this summer. For small groups (3-4 members) the 6L provides more than enough for drinking water & the occasional camp stove hot dog cookout for lunch. For larger groups (8-10 Members) the 20L has performed like a champ, never leaving us without the option of water while being remote. The variable flow spout is intuitive and easy to use even for the kids (4-11 yrs), and has even come in handy when used during summer baseball games to refill water ... No pouring or sharing bite valves with these. We simply pop out our Sea to Summit X-Cups and enjoy a refreshing drink at one of our favorite places in the world. The shower function (included adaptor) makes rinsing off at the end of a creek day, day of riding motocross, or after a hard days work on the farm as simple as can be. Just adjust the strap to hang from the truck or a tree and you're good to go! These items are a must for our crew and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a versatile and very portable water storage solution.
I purchased two 10 liter water cells ( the mor expensive ones).I filled them up and placed them in a solid plastic container with a lid.I keep the water cells (filled with water) in a waterproof plastic bin until I’m ready to go camping.at a moment’s notice.I placed a moisture proof lid on the plastic box holding the two water cells. Every time I check the box, there is moisture accumulation inside the plastic box, telling me that there is a leak!!Multiple times I have closed the lid to make sure the lid is water tight. They LEAK! They LEAK! They LEAK.COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE! Very disappointed! The lid leaks, no matter what!I’m impressed with every other aspect of these water cells, but if they leak, en route to your campsite, you will find unexpected WET items ... Bought this as a refillable water storage option in our camper van. It fits perfectly behind the jump seats (I keep it in a waterproof tote just in case of leaks). It’s not the easiest thing to manage re: getting water often but I’m happy enough with its usefulness. The only thing is I can’t get the plastic/rubber (?) taste out. I’ve washed it, soaked it with baking soda and water etc… I guess it will just take time. Overall, I am pleased with the product.
I had previously been using a Hydrapak water bladder which worked well but had a bad taste. After a couple of seasons it sprang a leak at a seam so upon reading some reviews of the Sea to Summit water bladder I decided to get one. The construction appears to be superior to the one I used before, I like the wide opening and the fact that all the fluid can be drain out easily. However, what I liked about what I read of reviews was there is no bad taste ( plastic like ). This statement proved to be untrue. The badder still has a taste albeit not as pronounced as the one I had used before but still there. Had the bladder came taste free I would have given it a rating of 5 but I could only give a 4. Lightly tested the product to make sure everything holds up. Clean the bladder and checked for waterleak. No water was leaking out. Trying the turn valves to make sure it working as it supposed to. Worked totally fine, water could be tune to the speed you wanted. Drying may be an issue. I notice water could stay on the bottom edge after the bladder had been hanged for a while. Problem could easily be fixed by moving the bladder every now and then to make sure all water comes out. The handles near the lid of the mouth seem to be a great key to hold the bladder up when filling. The handle at the bottom are great to hold or hang the bladder. So far I have not seen any problem. The material seems like it could take some beating. Very strong and well built. Quality bladder.
The Watercell X is very well made. We actually have a 10L also. The 20L is heavy when full but its shape and strap handles help to carry close to my body. Much easier than carrying a 20L gas can for example. The cap has a built in shut off feature which is very secure. This makes it a bit of a pain to open and close regularly. Then I realized I should just use the easy to open and close rubber plug on the center of the cap for regular use. I only close the more secure valve for transporting. When empty, it folds up nicely.
