Refrigeration is recommended 3 months after opening.

This is an absolute must in a planted tank. Quick and custom dosing is easy with the liquid form. There was also a dry version once upon a time, I don’t know if that’s still around. Seachems line in general is pretty solid and are my go to for a lot.

This product is a great fertilizer. I put it in a day or so after a water change and it works great at growing plants and giving them nutrients in a safe way. I even started throwing a bit of this in to other house plants like our bamboo plant and have noticed crazy growth since. Would definitely recommend.

I have open-top aquariums and live plants so don't do many water changes. When the water level goes down an inch or so, I trim up my plants, give them tank this product, then refill with RO. My plants grow that quickly when I use this. I use aquarium water in my houseplants and vivariums, so it's a win-win.

I resorted to live plants to help balance my aquarium and eliminate a persistent algae problem. The plants were 90% effective, but would get spindly after awhile. The algae would begin to creep back. I added Flourish to the water just recently. The plants are indeed "flourishing" and the algae problem is in 100% complete remission. The plants really have to be thriving to defeat the algae and "Flourish" nourishes the plants but doesn't offer anything to promote algae growth. Great stuff.
When it arrived, fertilizer was dribbling out of it and continued to do so for the next couple days even after opening. Kinda gross, had to leave it in a bag so it wouldn't get everywhere. Otherwise seems to work fine.
More of a supplement than a fertiliser, this product carries the bulk of what's essential for plant growth. If you have lot's of fish, there should be enough nitrogen (from fish waste) and phosphorus (from fish food) in the water already. If your tank is very heavily planted and/or contains no or very few fish, you may want to consider managing your nitrogen and phosphate with additional products.
Seems like my plants are greener after only a few treatments. It also looks like one of my chain swords is beginning to spread as well. They had been planted for 6-7 weeks with not much progress before I started treating.I also purchased an Anubias Golden, and it also appears to like this fertilizer.
Tank Info:Tank Size - 10 gallon.Water - Freshwater.Fish - 6 neon tetras and 5 ghost shrimp.Plants - Xmas moss, 3 anubias nana and driftwood.I'm not one of the big hobbyists with a 50+ gallon tank filled with a assortment of flora and fauna. I like to keep it simple and small. With that said, I wanted something to help my plants grow better. I heard about Flourish and Flourish Excel and purchased both from here.PROS:In about a month, my plants became greener and the Xmas moss is GROWING like wildfire!CONS: Wish the 250ml bottles came with some sort of pip or dropper or something that makes it easier to measure and add to the water instead of using the cap to do it.
I use this alone to add nutrients for the plants. I started out with a scraggly bunch of Anacharis and a sad looking Anubias. I had very little growth of either before I started using Flourish. Within two weekly administrations of the chemical I started seeing rapid growth. I now have a forest of Anacharis and the Anubias is growing pretty fast for being a slow-growing plant. I have to use it sparingly, because even in my heavily planted aquarium, an excess of the supplement leads to my tank walls getting covered in algae. Just goes to further show how well it works!
If you are serious about your aquarium and keep live plants. most of the time they will need a little help top stay in good shape. There are pricier plant foods out there, but this does seem to help some and I've used it for years. Best bargain so far as to dosage and price I have found. Been keeping freshwater fish for over 40 years.
