Seachem Flourish Iron 100ml

Iron is immobile in plants. This means that plants cannot divert iron from older leaves to new ones. Therefore, deficiency symptoms appear first on new or young leaves. Because plants use iron to produce chlorophyll, a lack of iron results in chlorosis, or yellowing, of the younger leaves. Stems may also appear short and slender. If the deficiency is severe and prolonged, each new leaf emerges lighter in colour than the preceding leaf.Flourish Iron is a highly concentrated (10,000 mg/L) ferrous iron gluconate supplement. Plants are able to much more easily derive a benefit from Flourish Iron because ferrous iron gluconate is already in the ferrous form so they do not expend energy reducing it.

Made yellow plants turn green, guess some of my plants was missing iron. Careful though, make sure it's compatible with your tank, some online research should help. It's pricey, just for iron, but a green plant is pretty, and I need those plants to take care of the nitrates.

My aquatic plants were started Melting specially Dwarf Sagittaria Subulata. Stem plants growth were not healthy which attracted to algae growth. After using appropriate amount of this product plants became healthy and after few maintenance algae almost disappeared. I have seen nice colour growth for fishes as well.

My tap water is very deficient in Iron, and Iron is very necessary for plant growth. I knew when I began my planted aquarium that I would need to supplement the iron. I started with Seachem Flourish, which has traces of iron, but I wanted extra iron because I had several species of plants with reddish foliage which need iron to bring up the pigmentation. When I started feeding this iron, the effect was almost immediate. The color of my plants began to be darker within 48 hours. Since I have only made one feeding at this time, I don't know what the eventual results will be like, but I am sure that this product is going to be on my fertilizer shelf for a long time.
