As ALWAYS clean well stocked store. Marinda the fish specialist is truly a fish specialist. I never go in the store that there are several people purchasing fish. The selection is a wide range. The grooming department is always busy. I drive 60 miles round trip for a great high quality experience. Love all the folks and my Wytheville Petco.

I have Used Flourish Firtilizers for a very long time because they are widely available. But their Tablets are a necessity for plant health. They have lasted longer for fertilizing every 4 months as opposed to monthly root tablets of other brands. There are only 10 tablets in the bag so every three months I do have to order more. Ive tried other brands and never had the success with my aquarium plants that i have with the flourish root tablets. I would like them to be smaller and more of them but i will always use this brand because of its better quality based on my experience.

I've used Seachem Flourish tabs several times with great success in my aquariums. It has increased growth and vibrance in all of my aquatic plants. It is also very easy to use. I would highly recommend it to anyone for general use or those who might be struggling with keeping their plants healthy.
This product really lives up to its name! Everyone who keeps live plants in their aquariums talks about these tabs - whether their aquariums are big or small. At first I was confused as to why, but after trying it for myself I see why everyone raves about them. Wonderful product!
I've used both. All I can say about API tabs is the nutrients are slightly better. When you(or your fish) accidentally dig up an API tab you get a nasty cloud followed by a nitrate spike in your tank. They just fall apart. Seachem tabs hold togather and you can just put it back in. The price for seachem tabs is far less too. About half as much. The plants do well with either however.
I'm subtracting two stars because the tablets don't seem to release nutrients to roots as quickly as the API root tabs. I'm using them in a mix of CaribSea FloraMax and fine gravel. My plants--all stem plants and root feeders--are struggling (cabomba, bacopa, corkscrew val, and one old amazon sword). The FloraMax is nearly 9 years old and not nearly as effective as when it was new, in terms of holding nutrients for plant roots. I'd really like to tear down this tank and start from scratch.
I inserted 2 pellets in the substrate of my tank last week. The plants seem to be growing faster, I had a sprig that sat for weeks without change suddenly grow a new set of leaves. The other plants have a nice color and new growth too.I hope the root tabs take guesswork out of fertilizing, as well as making it easier with a lower frequently schedule.
Been buying this product for 2 years now ever since a Petco employee told me about it. I do notice growth in my aquarium plants when I add a tab into the substrate. If you want more growth add two around your plant. Only reason for the 4 stars is because it is a tad expensive. I try to buy it when it goes on sale when possible.
I put these tabs in my 2 year old planted tank a few days ago and I already notice a difference. My growth had started to slow down so i bought these for my plants that feed from substrate (i also have water column feeders and use liquid ferts). I would recommend this product. My swords and crypts already have multiple new leaves!
