Could not be more pleased with this external hdd!. My wallet is actually larger then this hdd, it's definitely compact, quiet, stores all the data I was looking to put on it with plenty of room to spare. Considering the fact the first generation 1Tb hdds came out in September 1996, were the size of a literal shoe box, weighed almost as much as a bowling ball and cost multiple thousands of dollars, YES this is a good value, GREAT VALUE. Definitely plug n play, at least on Windows OS. Works easily with older USB 2.0 connections which is what I needed.

I got this because I needed a storage solution for all of the pictures we take. We have 1000s of pictures across 4 different computers and wanted them to all be in one spot, without taking up precious real estate on the main computer.We have been able to successfully transfer all of the pictures onto this portable drive with ease. The setup was very easy and worked well with the different windows versions on each computer.I will be getting a second one to house all of my music as well.

Basic large capacity external hard drive. Easy to format and bring online. Some issues with indexing files for the Spotlight Search function on my Mac. Needed to use EasyFind app as my search tool for this and one other Seagate drive I have. Don't know why, but that's the way it works.
I have one of these thats a 2T on my Playstation and have had it for years but I was losing storage quickly. This is a great addition to have to give me extra storage for all the games I have. I will say, the process is slow so don't expect to hook it up and have everything transferred in minutes or even an hour. It took about 4 hours to transfer my stuff to the 4T portable storage. It was more than 4 hours that I didnt include which was having to transfer from the 2T back to my Playstation then transfer to the 4T. Sounds confusing but that seemed my only option. It did give me much needed space and works as its suppose to.I do wish there was a easier way to transfer my stuff from the 2T to the 4T, if there is, I haven't figured it out.
This portable backup hard drive was very simple to install and use— it is indeed just “plug and play” with the included USB cord. The automatic backup and sync works great and puts my mind at ease. The hefty 4 terabytes will serve as more then adequate backup and storage for my computer and other data devices. I especially appreciate its compact size and lightweight, which is perfect for traveling and alternating between uses with my laptop and home computer.
It has a good size with no obnoxious design elements, which I really like for work. I’ve been using it to backup my RAW photos and it does a quick job of that. It has a really easy setup and I love the one touch backup feature. It’s great to know that my photos are in another place, just in case my hard drive dies, which has happened several times. Great tool!
I had my doubts at first but I must say, I am really pleased with it's performance and would really recommend it to anyone. It's good value for money.
Small, Lightweight, and Fast! I am using this HD for my daily backups of my office PC and I am also using it for my personal Macbook Backup for video development. Supports USB 3.0 and the transfer speed is great! So far this HD is very reliable and durable, I do carry it around with me in my laptop backpack on a daily basis.
