As per usual the drive copying/ converting software was fabulous and easy to use. It was a straight replacement for a 6 year old drive that was developing errors (in the hardware logs) that were accumulating over time.No Cons to speak off and getting 6 years of trouble free data storage I find reasonable. Some drives can last longer but the bare minimum for me is 5 years.I love the versatility of modern storage with M.2 drive giving fabulous performance especially when you have 2 on a motherboard. This allows me up to get the best value options for my Disk drives and Seagate really steps up in this area.Highly recommended..

Pros: The drives worked from installation.Cons: I can't offer a genuine review as I have not had these drives running for a reasonable time. They appear to be working well but until they have worked for at least a year reliability cannot be assessed other than that they have not failed yet.Better packaging.

Pros: Great drive, very fast transfer speeds in both read and write and cost effective for the capacity.Cons: Enterprise/NAS drives are much louder than standard consumer drives which can be a small annoyance when installed in a desktop computer. However this is a trade off for the capacity and performance.

Pros: It arrived in one piece and reasonably quickly.Cons: I bought two. One open box and one brand new. Open box one was cheaper and works fine. Brand new one was faulty immediately. It is to be replaced but this process is so far taking quite some time.

Pros: Ability to get up and running fairly quickly and easily but takes a while longer to understand and set up more complex reqiuerements.Cons: CPU processor for DS218 is underpowered for video resulting in juddery playback on some videos.

Pros: Good reliable NAS drives (based on previous experience. Unlike a principal competitor, these NAS drives remain CMR drives rather than the slower (for NAS applications) SMR drives. It is good to see this honesty.

Pros: NAS seems faster to me than previous 5TB Red (but then again maybe I'm just wishing it to be faster). Its fast, huge and should be reliable. Had to doctor my Synology NAS disk tray to accommodate the drive - the central screw hole + certain indentations required by the disk tray are missing on this (super high capacity) disk design. After removal of the tray lugs there are now just 4 screw mounting points albeit they have high quality rubber shock absorbers. All seems secure but disk mounting is important in a high capacity NAS. Bought 2 for media, pictures, home movies for all the sons, video surveillance.One drive is still running one died last night and for 6 hours stopped the pc from booting when the os was on a M.2 drive. Got it figured out but need to replace the drive less then one year. Bought 4/21.
