I Initially loved these deodorants because they seemed to be helping with BO but immediately noticed it left a sort of residue that did not come off no matter how much I scrubbed and used various soaps. After a few weeks the residue still would not come off and I started noticing BO getting worse so I’d switch to a different scent. It’s a little pricey for the amount of product you get but it’s always been worth it because I would never stink! Now the most recent 2 bottles i’ve purchased in the past 6 months, there has been a change. It smells different now and I suspect that the product is being watered down (like a lot of other products since facing supply shortages after covid). The labels on the new and old bottle have the same ingredient, but like i said the new formula DOESNT WORK AT ALL. It smells weird now and is not very effective. I am sweating right through it and stink by lunchtime!! Unacceptable for such a pricey little bottle of deodorant. Any scent that is overly “powdery” is a huge turn off for me. This one is more of a fresh floral. Not old fashioned rose, more light sweet. I’ve never had an issue with it clashing with my other scented body products, or my perfume. I’ve found it’s actually the opposite—it compliments other scents. I also appreciate how easy reapplication is with the Invisible Solid formula. If I do not shower for 1-3 days, just a few swipes of this deodorant between showers effectively returns my underarm scent to fresh clean. I never have to worry about drying time, or it feeling wet if I apply it with a shirt on. I will say, I would not consider it to be 100% “invisible”. This deodorant will leave a slight white residue on darker clothing. This issue becomes more noticeable after a few reapplications. Even so, the Invisible Solid is my favorite formula [and I have tried them all]. The most shocking part of reading the online reviews was seeing how many people experienced sensitivity/irritation from this deodorant. I’ve never had that issue. Not in the slightest. It almost seems to me that this deodorant actually helps with smoothing my underarms. I’ve never experienced any of the common issues with texture, or redness/bumps. After consistently using this deodorant everyday for years, my underarms are 100% smooth. Of course, this also means my body is very accustomed to this particular formula. If you have naturally sensitive skin, I would absolutely keep the other reviews in mind. Just like with facial skincare, body care is a personal experience. One last thing I would like to note is that I have noticed a bit of a change in the Clinical Strength formula, ever since the updated packaging was released [a few years ago]. It used to be listed as both an Antiperspirant, AND a Deodorant. Now, the packaging only says Antiperspirant. I believe the overall odor control lasting strength is not quite as spectacular as it used to be. I honestly thought this was all in my head, until I noticed someone in the Target Q&A experiencing the same issue. It’s still the best deodorant on the market, imo. However, it is exhausting how often brands completely disregard the whole “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it” mantra. This is my reason for giving 4 stars, apposed to 5.

I don't like leaving negative reviews but on this item, I feel compelled to. My complaint is not with the efficacy of the antiperspirant. It does keep me dry. My complaint is with the container it is in. The twist dial at the bottom is almost impossible to twist! It is so flimsy that it caves in when I try to twist it to express the antiperspirant through the holes at the top and I cannot get a good grip on it. My goodness, how strong do they think women's hands are?? I have to wrap a towel around the bottom of the applicator every time I want to use it just to get enough grip on the twist dial to get it to twos6t at all! EVERY TIME!! Grr!! Applying antiperspirant should be an easy part of my day, not an Olympic sport or feat!! I was wrong — the scent is SO strong, it’s not the scent of “clean” but the scent of an overpowering perfume. The smell alone gave me a headache about 30 minutes after putting it on. Two hours later my pits were overly sweaty and and I could smell my body odor (slightly masked only because of how overpowering this scent is). I apply before bed on clean, dry skin, using 3 clicks per armpit. I recommend letting the deodorant dry completely before putting a shirt on. It seems to be more effective that way (no transferring). For easy application and good absorption, I highly prefer the gel over the solid. The lavender is strong at the start, kinda nice to smell before going to sleep. In the morning the scent is next to gone, which is good for me because I don't like layering too many scents. Apart from the fragrance, I haven't tried to see the full extent of its longevity as an antiperspirant/deodorant, but it keeps me dry and unsmelly all day with just that one application and has not failed on me yet. As antiperspirants they all work okay, but in keeping me fresh, they all fail about 6 hours into the day, and the scented ones turn sour. For reference, I am not an overly sweaty person, but my armpits do get stinky after a regular day. That being said, I'm not sure how this would hold up for someone struggling with hyperhidrosis. I picked this one over Certain Dri Clinical (a very effective cult favorite) since I can't shave every day with that one because of just how potent it is. Glad I tried Secret Clinical, works well for me and fits in with my routine.
