Bought on sale, easy to carry and fold.- Goes 25kmh on Sport mode, battery only lasts about 15km though which is disappointing as I expected 30km range by paying extra for the F30- 22kmh on Drive mode- 15kmh on Eco which is extremely slow…Got a spare tire and tube.Expected more for the price, couldve gone for the F20

Very stable and easy to setup. The speed and 15% gradeability is well suited. Great deal for the price.The scooter goes 25km/h at D and S mode and 15km/h at ECO mode. I normally use D mode but ECO is great when you want to reduce speed around people or in busier areas. S mode promotes better acceleration to 25km/h and offers better climbing speed. The braking is also very good, with less than 1 second of reaction time and often very smooth and no jerking. Using the Segway app you can setup Cruise Control and see your statistics.The only downside is that you cannot adjust/limit the speed using the mobile app.

Better than walking

Hi I'm 20 years old, 75kg and 6 foot tall.I travel daily to my job in this scooter, so approximately i travel 40km a day on every Saturday.I can't take this in the bus, almost 99% of the drivers won't let us in with this. Fast and comfortable ride

Segway are leaders in such equipment . This is the second d scooter I have, the first being the E22. Both scooters are great. Benefits if the F30 is it is lighter, collapses easier with improved locking pin, larger tyres. Would be nice to have the option of battery extender but max range of 30 km is pretty good . Note the tyres have tubes but the thickness of the tyres is thick and would be very hard to puncture . Would I buy again, yes.

Good beginners scooter

Having done a few rides now to test the F30, I love the scooter but with some limitations.I’m 78kg and on Eco mode would say I have a safe range of 20km during daytime (headlight off). On drive mode maybe 8km.Assembly out of the box was very easy.The headlight is very focused on a V shape which illuminates the path in front very well, but personally I’d prefer it to be pointing a little further in front rather than down so much.Rides very well, quite stable.Eco mode limits you to 15kph, drive and sports are firmware limited to 25kph.Front wheel drive is a little slippery on sand covered paths.Overall I’m happy with it and glad I purchased something that I thought was overkill for requirements but turned out just right.

Good value competent commuter

I bought this scooter about a month ago now and have done over 100kms on it. I got it on sale at JB HiFi and given the deal I got it is very good value.A few notes you might find helpful. The advertised range is nowhere near accurate, this probably won't surprise you. I am a 5'10 male and weigh about 90kg and the range would be closer to 20kms at a stretch - however I'd be getting nervous at 15km. I wouldn't recommend this if you'd like to go any further than 15kms at a time.However just as advertised the scooter is capable of hitting 25km/h (where it's electronically limited) but mild hills can see it slow to 19km/h. That said this scooter is a decent commuter, but a 300 watt motor is only ok - you may need to be patient at times. Your milage may vary if you are lighter than me. I still find I can commute at generally 4-5 times the speed you could walk - so it's a fast way to get around. The acceleration is software controlled and is generally a smooth curve rather than zippy - which is best when around pedestrians. I find around Chippendale / Surry Hills I can usually hit full speed when needed.The breaks are pretty good (I keep the regenerative braking maxed) - you'll need to lean back onto the rear wheel for best performance. The scooter overall is made from strong steel and feels firm. No wobbles, and the braking is mostly smooth and progressive - just try to keep your weight down and back when slowing down, because inertia will cause the opposite.Charging times are exactly as advertised, you'll get about 15% charge per hour, so 6 hours from flat. Some other things to know: it comes with a spare tyre and all tools necessary to assemble - very handy. You MUST download the app and pair with your scooter prior to riding. You will also be prompted to update the firmware - do this first. Do not attempt to ride out of the box, you will be disappointed - it only goes 3km/h until you read through some items in the app. You must PUSH before the throttle works, the scooter must be rolling as a safety feature - so you can't bump the throttle accidentally.It's about 14kg, and folded I find it comfortable enough to carry on trains - but I'm reasonably strong. If you're a commuter you really don't want a scooter any heavier than this - be warned if you're looking at the bigger models above this one - this is already pretty heavy. The G30 for example comes in around 20kg - that's getting up there.Also not listed in any instructions at all but useful to know - the scooter can be converted to carrying mode by folding it and locking the bell to the little catch on the rear mudguard. This is not a great design - it pushes the weight away from the foot -stand which means it has a tendency to fall over. It's also a little finnicky to get on and off, however it is a very useful thing to know how to do and I wish they'd put it in the instructions!Overall I'm very happy with this scooter for the price - and as a cheap way of getting to work it is an excellent purchase, even for a larger rider. If you're more serious and happy to spend a few hundred more, the 350 watt models above it (either the F40 or G30) will serve you better. The G30 of course having a much longer range - while weighing a good 5-6kg more. However as an entry-level commuter this will serve you just fine.

It does a good job, it's an entry level commuter scooter - solidly built, great design and has everything you need – but lacks power up hills, on the flat its fine and quick up to 25kmh, struggles to start on a small slope and slows down rapidly on a larger hills.
