An absolute gem of a Watch.Firstly it has the brightest markers that glow like a torch at night.Secondly it has a very grand appearance and even though the divers watch it complements a formal dress code.Japanese made with Sapphire Glass and 6R35 automatic movement with 70 ours power reserve – what else can you ask for?The price was absolutely unbeatable and delivery only took a couple of days. The warranty was registered as soon as the watch was shipped. Too easy and I have purchased A total of four watches recently including a citizen.I will be back 😊

Gr8 watch but the green bezel scratches pretty easily compared to the outside of other watches I have owned. When the green scratches it exposes the silver underneath it. Probably better used as a dress watch if you care about the look of hour bezel. The dial looks amazing and the sapphire glass doesnt scratch (well not easily and I haven't market it yet)Wear the watch daily so can not comment in the power reserve but it holds power well haven't wound it once. Do steps everyday thoHolds time pretty well, had it under water and covered in mud cleaned up well.

This review is for my *second replacement*. It looks like I finally got a reasonably working/time-keeping example now."Luck of the draw?".Yet, strangely enough, today it decided to simply stop running on my wrist... but after a quick shake and some more windings it continued and all seems back to normal ops. I therefore must give one star less. The previous VERY negative report is now irrelevant - it was held back awaiting the final warranty claim outcome.

You have to see it in person to appreciate it's beauty. The chamfered edges of the slightly darkened, satin brushed stainless steel case really play with the light well. The gilt dial and black stainless steel with gilt numerals bezel insert give the watch a classic yet modern look. Overall, it's a very beautiful watch with a very good movement (6R35/70 power reserve). My only gripe with the watch would have to be the Rubber/Silicone Strap - while very comfortable to wear- is a bit too long even for my 7 1/2 in wrist and for the asking price, it would have been nice if it also came with a bracelet. I'd imagine making a bracelet to match the color of the case may only up the price though. Besides that small gripe, the drilled lug holes make changing the strap easy ... MoreYou have to see it in person to appreciate it's beauty. Besides that small gripe, the drilled lug holes make changing the strap easy and with the watch's 20mm lug width, there are plenty of third party options to choose from and give the watch your own personal look. If you have the chance to see it in person, do so before overlooking this watch. I'm glad i was able to and it has been my most worn watch in my collection since making the purchase.
I bought this watch a little time after I purchase another less expensive Seiko watch. Both are amazing quality. However this watch takes quality and precision to a whole new level. Everything about it is engineered to perfection. The dial colour is absolutely amazing. It’s very comfortable to wear and feels like you could potentially take it from the board room to back of Burke. I did not buy the watch from DJ’s but more other Seiko watches are from them. Very fast shipping and reliable shipping. Well done DJ’s.
Excellent service, express delivery, unbeatable price, highly recommended. I also received an ewarranty directly from Seiko which proves Starbuy is an excellent choice and an authorised retailer. I am very pleased with the experience and the watch. The Sumo 3 keeps delivering high quality and precision with a reasonable price. This watch definitely looks high quality with a 20mm bracelet which some may say is too small but I found it to be exactly the opposite if you are thrown off by extra bulky, flashy watches.
Beautiful watch but tainted by the purchase experience, original "box and papers" are important to me as a watch collector (and they contribute significantly to the value of the watch in years to come). To receive a damaged watch box is disappointing because it not only devalues the item but it indicates the watch has been roughly handled during transit and really who wants a watch that has been treated roughly ?The watch is running a little slowly, back of my mind im wondering if this is just a new watch running in or is it as a result of a knock in transit.Seiko are taking their business to new levels and moving more of their product range into the luxury watch territory, the Willard watches are no longer tool watches but entry level luxury watches, the dealers ... MoreBeautiful watch but tainted by the purchase experience, original "box and papers" are important to me as a watch collector (and they contribute significantly to the value of the watch in years to come). To receive a damaged watch box is disappointing because it not only devalues the item but it indicates the watch has been roughly handled during transit and really who wants a watch that has been treated roughly ?The watch is running a little slowly, back of my mind im wondering if this is just a new watch running in or is it as a result of a knock in transit.Seiko are taking their business to new levels and moving more of their product range into the luxury watch territory, the Willard watches are no longer tool watches but entry level luxury watches, the dealers need to provide a level of service that luxury watch buyers expect.
Thanks to Starbuy for another great deal and great watch delivered the very next day. I’ve been wearing the green Sumo almost daily since it arrived. After an initial wind there’s been no need to wind again thanks to the 70 hour power reserve. The 45 mm Sumo wears very comfortably on my 180 mm (touch over 7 inch) wrist. Its size and weight I haven’t really noticed in daily wear. I was a little wary of the colour before ordering but have found it an excellent balance between black and lighter greens. The case is finished with precision and the stainless steel bracelet wears well but be wary trying to size it yourself. The watch is keeping good time having gained about 10 seconds a week. The Seiko Sumo SPB103J1 has a green dial and bezel. The case diameter is 45mm and sits well on my medium size wrist. The green is absolutely stunning. The bracelet link is held together by pin and collar and is easy to resize. The clasp has 4 holes for micro adjustment. The crown sits at the 4 o'clock position while the date is at the 3 o'clock position. Adjusting the date and time is easy with the smooth crown operation. What a great-looking watch.
It's only been in the last few years I've gotten into Seiko, despite a long history with watch collecting. While much of what I own are from Swiss makers, Seiko certainly has more than made its mark in the watch industry. Pricing is another issue, and it's a long debate about what brands charge for what you get, but, here, the higher price is due to sapphire crystal, full dive specs, and, most impressive, the new 6R35 movement, with a 70 hour Power Reserve. The green is gorgeous. Deep and dark, it can almost look black under some lighting, but catches the light in other angles and the green is stellar. Bracelet is not as high end as some models -- stamped clasp, odd dive extension, no DiaShield, but solid end links, and certainly very comfortable. Bracelet is not as high end as some models -- stamped clasp, odd dive extension, no DiaShield, but solid end links, and certainly very comfortable. Pin and collar links are a bit frustrating. The case design lends a lot, too, to very comfy wearing, and the mix of finishes impresses, polished and brushed. Sits perfectly on the wrist. Excellent bezel action. Of course, epic Seiko lume and the refresh of the Sumo design (the third generation) here is very handsome. As a fan of larger case styles, I appreciate the 45mm. At the price point, there are other dive watches to consider, with superior bracelet, ceramic bezel, even longer power reserve, but, what you're buying here is bit of Seiko history, and there is talk of this being somewhat collectible, although I buy to just enjoy and wear. Nice to know, though, it is a model of some note with Seiko enthusiasts. As merely a dive watch, for over eight hundred dollars, naturally one might look elsewhere, and with good reason, if price for specs is the only consideration, but, as a Seiko Sumo, in green, it's very well done and nothing else is like it. Thoroughly handsome watch, and a purchase of distinction.
