My son was very happy with the watch for his birthday. I'm not going to give a score for "value for money" because this is too subjective. You can buy something vastly more features than this for a fraction of the cost, so with a watch like this you are 100% paying for the style, and that is down to the individual. All I can say is, if you want a watch like this, the Seiko Mens 5 is neither the cheapest, nor the most expensive by a long way. But it is nice, and the quality seems very good from the perspective of a complete layman.

The Seiko watch was fine, just what i ordered and i don't regret buying it, but i do regret buying it from The Jewel Hut, as their website is very misleading. They promised me a free gift of a necklace and earrings but then didn't deliver it to me. I ordered the watch on Black Friday and got a 10% discount, but with Jewel Hut you can't have the discount and a free gift, but this is not made clear at the point when you place your order. False advertising. I contacted Jewel Hut's customer service, but they were not interested and ignored my comments. In conclusion, a good watch, but don't buy it from Jewel Hut, better value on Amazon.

Beautiful, affordable watch

Couldn’t be happier with this watch. I wanted something robust I could wear everyday. I’ve always been a fan of Seiko for years, and think their value for money is second to none. There are a lot of new watch brands about at the moment which I’ve looked at - Nixon, Skagen, Daniel Wellington. These aren’t really watches for everyday, they’re more fashion accessories, and the quality of the items reflects that: alignment is generally off, and the finish on the faces are poor and cheap (cheap posing as minimalism). The 5 is a different story: the bracelet is solid, resizing was easy as wink, the bezel and face are even more attractive in real life. Great Watch - Just Not For Me

I purchased the 41mm green face watch as I have a Tag and a Rolex and have always liked Seiko's quality. Wanted a good looking watch for the everyday wearing. When I opened the box, I was a little disappointed in that the green was darker than what I had anticipated. It is a beautiful watch for the money - absolutely no doubt about that..Two other things that did not work for me were the weight for one. The chart which was under the picture of the watch had Light (weight) on the left and Heavy on the right. The bar went to about 1/3 leaning more towards light than heavy and that in not so. I held this next to my Rolex and this is not a light watch. It also sat a bit higher off my wrist than I liked. Great watch Be cautious of store pickup. No papers

Seiko automatics are my favourite. Durable , reliable and stylish watches that will last a life time. My only complaint, I saw my local Macy’s had this watch ready for pickup and decided to order through them. When I picked up it was in the wrong box as-well as had no paperwork (instructions and most importantly the warranty card) this may not be a big deal to all as most watches are in the glass cases and worn out of the store but for the price you can at least make sure the box and papers are all correct.

Great watch if only it didn’t run fast

I really like the watch. It’s durable and has become my everyday watch. I wear it all the time. However, I am co stay my having to set the time because it runs up to 5 minutes ahead. This is not what I expected from Seiko. I should probably explore the warranty however Inhave no idea what I’ve done with the receipt and paperwork. I bought it at Macys. Everything else about the watch is great.

Great watch, but…

So decades ago I bought a Seiko SBJ125 which was very similar to this auto Sport 5 stainless. I was young and started a full time job and after my first paycheck, I bought the SBJ125. Wore it for years and years. Made more money and bought several very expensive watches, but I always loved my SBJ125. Still have it and sits in my safe. Fast forward to today and I recently bought my Sport 5. Great watch, looks awesome, and I wear it everyday. Only issue is the bottom of the wings that flank the crown are really sharp and cut into the top of my wrist/hand. Thinking of using a fine file and knock them down a bit. It’s very uncomfortable and if I don’t file them, I may return it. Try on before you buy.

Upon receiving my Seiko 5 pepsi srpd53k1, the chapter indices were misaligned so I contacted first class watches through their live chat system and spoke with Rowland. He was brilliant to deal with and sorted me with a perfect replacement which I received in the space of a few days. I must say first class also adjusted size the bracelet free of charge. First class watches customer service is fantastic as is their price offer feature when you can avail of some massive discounts. For these reasons first class watches will be the only place I buy my watches in the future.

Love the watch! I recommend it for sure, watch came in a reasonable time in good packaging, no complaints. The price was great and got some discounts, I will for sure buy from them again in the near future. I wish they had a bit more selection for the Seiko watch models and possibly a few more middle end watches/watch brands. All in all satisfaction was obtained on my end. Good prices for sure.
