I really like the more coarse granules of salt in the bag of Makai. I have been disappointed with the salt produced by this grinder--it is extremely fine & you cannot really appreciate the wonderful taste of the Makai salt. The Makai is intended to be a finishing salt, so grinding it this finely is not a benefit. I'll buy the bag of granules again, but definitely not this grinder. I don't even think the grinder will be useful for a refill. Who needs salt that fine? I feel sorry I recommended & bought this expensive grinder for a friend. I got a great grinder with Pink Himalayan Salt in it for under $2 at Trader Joe's, and gave my friend one as a consolation gift.

I can not adjust grinder to make gradual a bigger, so they come out like flakes. This seems to make the salt taste VERY strong. Not idea but the packaging and claims seem healthy and a benefit. Mostly using as a mouth rinse w warm water.
Absolutely no taste difference from table salt and yet all the benefits without the ugly side effects.
I love this Celtic salt. It adds great flavor to foods and is good for you.
Love to use salt that I can trust without refining and leaving essential minerals.
