Senco C Series 32-65mm Brad Finishing Air Nail Gun FIP16XP

Just Installed cherry trim. 3/4 and 5/4". It set the nails perfectly. This nailer worked beautifully. Lightweight easy to maneuver and place the nail exactly where you want it. I bought this to replace a 30 yr old Senco accuset nailer. This is even better. Easy to change nail size or add additional nails.

This is a great nailer for molding and furniture assembly! Already own the 18 & 23 gauge nailers and this rounds out the trio.

I have been wanting this nailer since it came out last year, but none of my local suppliers have gotten it in stock yet. While I was waiting I purchased a Hitachi that was terrible and would not sink nails into the same material that my previous generation Senco would. So I figured I would buy this new Senco online and give it a try. First impression I didn’t like it at all, the ergonomics felt way off. I have big hands and the trigger is a bit difficult for me to reach comfortably. I compared it next to my brand new, previous generation 16 gauge straight Senco nailer and the handle and trigger are much higher than the previous model which just makes the gun feel cumbersome. First off, loading nails is not as easy as it should be, it just isn’t “easy”, and when shoving countless strips of nails into a gun in a day you shouldn’t have to think about how awkward it is to load nails every time. Using the gun it did perform decently. It sinks nails well, but I have had a couple goofy shots where it just didn’t fire right and the nails were left proud. One of the most irritating things is that it has a dry-fire lockout which is great, but the last nail falls out of the tip of the gun every time!! So I have to stop and open the tip and remove the nail which is just frustrating. And to top it off, it smells funny, and the smell is there whenever I open the case and I get a waft of it from time to time while using it. All-in-all, the good power and Senco name do not overcome the faults of this gun. The ergonomics are not good, and when using a gun all day and shooting hundreds of nails I want a gun that’s easy and comfortable to use. I don’t know if I’ll return it or not, but it looks like I’ll have to go back to one of my old 16 gauge straight nailers since this one just isn’t going to cut it. Every gun that I’ve had in my hands since Kyocera bought them out has been garbage. It’s so sad to see a great American company like Senco go down the drain.
